With Angulo and arguably Khan he is working with limited product, the same could be said with Dallas Jr. You could have the most fantastic trainer in your corner but ultimately its upto the fighter in the ring to impliment what they have been taught. Angulo is a limited puncher but seems eager to learn. Khan is a talented enigma hellbent on fighting the wrong way and throwing his gifts away to brawl. Just because a fighter loses it doesnt mean his trainer is bad or overated.

Khan did show some improvements -- more jabbing, a more cautious offence, and even a bit of inside fighting, which he never did before. He still showed his flaws, particularly when he got hit with left hooks, but considering that he's only had one camp with Hunter the results aren't that bad. We'll have to see if he continues to develop or not.

As sad as this may sound, but, this is not only the first time I've seen you two -- the best posters in the General -- in the same thread at the same, but there's actually been somewhat of a dialogue, too. ****ing amazing. Kinda' like seeing...

Sure he is a good coach. Unlike a lot of celebrity coaches, it seems he is willing to take on clients who need more work.

I think Mike Dallas needs some time off and to build himself up slowly if not retire. This was too much too soon for Mike and probably 90% of all fighters at 140.

I honestly expected much more from Khan. He looked the same except he pulled back when he really didnt have to. He caught plenty of clean left hooks to the chin. I wasnt impressed one bit.

Angulo also looked the same, maybe better conditioned. Operated behind the jab better and kept his composure. He made a stupid mistake by punching himself out vs Kirkland.

I think the game-plan for Dallas vs Matthysse was to gain respect by landing some good snappy shots so Lucas would think twice about coming in and not run Dallas over. He should have stuck to a strong jab, double and triple it, hook off it and kept moving and only let his power right hand show when he had to. Dont show him everything u got right off the bat. Malignaggi was right when he said Dallas should lull Matthysse to sleep instead of waking up the lion.

I think Andre is Virgils real priority who has REAL talent and a THINKING mind. Angulo.. it looks like he's being used a sparring partner to depict 'pressure' and is being shoved on the undercard whenever one of Virgils fighters fight. Khan is making the same mistakes.. he likes to move back in straight lines doesn't he and lowers his guard once he starts throwing 2 or more shots/jabs? Khan is scheduled to return to Hunters gym Feb 12th. Tbh I would like to see Khan get knocked down one more time so we can see if he's learnt anything. Poor Dallas was pushed to the tigers to soon. Heard Victor is training with Hoss and Freddie. Good for him.

Lucas is a better fighter than Lopez and he hits harder.
