Is Inoue’s success due to him or his opposition?

yeah, those guys have much bigger natural frames. their rangefinder jab has the weight and rigidity of a power jab at 122. these guys will diminish you with less effort. and they are big enough to absorb a lot of what would normally break a guy at 122.

Inoue can become a 6 division champ within the next 3 years. Only 2 more to go and another 8 pounds. Doesn't seem impossible.

136 lbs as per what Inoue tells Jorge Linares here

So 0.6 lbs more than the Tapales fight where he was 135.4 lbs

A lot of guys are facing the problem that because of the decline of boxing, title proliferation, and junk weight classes, their opponents are solid guys who lack recognition. This problem gets worse the lower down you go in weight.

Show me the worst era, and if there's a dominant figure, it's due to their merit. But show me the best era, and-...I completely lost my train of thought, I'm sorry. No idea what I was about to say. I'm watching Devil's Advocate and Connie Nielsen is kissing an Asian broad. I'm only human. Any train can be derailed. I'm not even looking while typing this, so it could say anything.

She’s hot. 58 now and I’d hit it. She might not feel the same about me however lol

    Great work. Thanks.

I was initially surprised when I read the conversation between them but then I remembered that Linares has been based over in Japan for a very long time and speaks fluent Japanese

136lbs is certainly big enough to campaign at 126 and he'll likely be at least 138 by the time he moves up there.

I'm interested in seeing an Inoue vs Nick Ball fight as it's an interesting style match up and Ball's a little tank.

Yeah Ball vs Inoue would be a very interesting style match up for sure. Not many go right at Inoue for fear of counters but you know Ball would and Ball is indeed a little tank, not vulnerable like Nery, I suspect if anyone can walk through Inoue's power it's Ball. Inoue's body attack might be the real problem for Ball here, Ford has plenty of success to the body and Inoue is lethal to the body.

Not saying I'd pick Ball to win but it's an intriguing match up and obviously it would be Inoue's 5th weight class and Ball might be P4P the physically strongest fighter in the sport and he hits hard, has a great engine and is tough. If Inoue were to beat him, let alone stop him that would be really impressive.

Yeah could be you don't want to be taking too many of Inoue's vicious body shots

Whilst Ball is thick-set and bigger than he looks (weight wise), Ford was massive for the weight and Vargas obviously was too in terms of length. That won't be the case for Ball vs Inoue.

    Re. Ford's size

I knew Ford was a lot naturally bigger than Ball but I didn't expect him to come in near as heavy as this

'Featherweight champ plans to rehydrate 34lbs for 5′ 2″ challenger

'Ford replied when asked if his 126lb fight with Ball had a rehydration limit on fight day due to confusion over WBA’s stance on Gervonta Davis vs Frank Martin, “Hell no, I’m coming in 160. My contract doesn’t say none of this.”

I've said it before. It's like the old days of the western media showing only white women on tv, ads, and commercials. It made the perception that they were the only most gorgeous and top tier, but we know that is b.s. If only a certain thing is shown to a mass audience, then the audience will only know about it and thus disregard anything else. Just like brainwashing. Only people who have grown up or been to both sides will fully understand. The western media is really powerful in perception obviously.

Inoue has the best KO% vs. future, reigning and former world champions in history and he's faced 13 of them (13-0, 11 KO).
