He was definitely involved in some tough scraps and faced some ATG's who no doubt haven't forgotten him. He's one of those men whom you had to live to see in order to appreciate. A youngster might look at his record and mistake him for being ordinary, but for those who saw him in action both in victory and defeat know better. I'd say he's probably a tad underrated and perhaps even overlooked a bit, as he doesn't appear in too many boxing discussions these days. I remember he was on a brief winning streak between 1991 to 1993 which included wins over Darrin Van Horn, Thomas Hearns and a few other guys. on one of those nights he screamed into the microphone " I'm gonna kill you James Toney!!!" Of course hindsight tells us that didn't happen, but the man was game and would have fought pretty much anybody.

Is this the guy that ended up brain damaged and living back in the 'projects' with his mother ?
If so...thats terrible...i remember him vaguely from my youth fighting on tv.

But I was refering specifically to Duran vs Barkley.

In this case, the first 8 were not a clean sweep for Barkely. If you give Duran just two of the closer rounds, he has it.

But in this case they were not very clear.
