He did was he suppose to do.

It's just the fact that he seems to enjoy hurting people that makes him seem like a sick mofo.

Yeah you get the sense that Mir probably cracked a fat when he felt the arm break, he definately seems to enjoy it and appears to want to be known as the guy who will snap your forearm.

Still, can't get too mad at him. He had Nog's arm, Nog wasn't going to get out of it and had the opportunity to tap but was too stubborn, and now his career is over because of it. Too bad on a few levels, that was a great little mini-fight but the ending is off-putting.

    His career is over?

    Since when?

Just because it should be, doesn't mean it is.

Come on man, he's 35 years old, he's not the same fighter he used to be anyway, and now his forearm is snapped. How much rehabbing will that take until he's ready to start training again?

He was ran over by a truck when he was a kid and had part of his liver removed because of it.

That freak won't give two shits about that boo boo on his arm in 6 months.

That was when he was a kid. Kids bounce.

35 year old men who have gone through 20+ years of brutal wars don't recover so quickly.

Although part of it could work for him, his body will certainly get a nice rest for a while, definately it will take less abuse than it's used to for the next few months.

"Fighters get into this place when they're fighting - Jon chokes him out and he's done, but he's in this zone. Jon's a really good guy, but he's in the zone. Like, BJ Penn is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, but after a fight he licks blood off of his gloves or, you know, like Chuck Liddell's a sweetheart, he's an awesome guy, but he does this victory dance. You just get into the zone after you fight and that's where Jon was, this cold zone. So I say to Jon, 'Go check on Machida and get yourself some fans,' which was a dumb thing to say.

What I was trying to convey to him was, 'You're a professional athlete, there's ring decorum,' and I should have said, 'Remember the fans, because everyone is watching what you do.' So, I misspoke. But, that's how I talk, it's like shorthand. 'Go check on him and the fans will appreciate it' is what I meant. But, I'm a bonehead sometimes and it came out wrong, which wasn't my intention at all."

15sec. in this is all I read. I don't blame Jones for listening to his coach though.

The first thing doctors want when checking on someone is some dude coming over and interrupting.
