Cruz never dominated a weight class like Duran did at 135

Duran also fought legends and all timers like Buchanan, Leonard, Hearns and Hagler

Another fighter would have to dominate their weight then move up and beat a Legend before going off the rails

 

Duran had a nearly 40 year career and went through lots of weight divisions

 

Who did Duran lose to that he wouldn't have lost to in a million years after winning a high profile fight? Can only think of british bum Laing but Duran was already coming off big profile losses against benitez an Leonard leading up to that

Duran went 12 years and 72 fights with just one loss, and that to a fantastic fighter, a loss which Roberto reversed twice. By itself, that's a very long career according to today's standards.
