Is it a big deal to you if Pac-Cotto is a non-title fight?

They agreed to fight at a catchweight which minimized, if any, the advantage/s of either fighter. Apparently, this is not a title fight. Does it matter much to you if there is no trinket belt at stake? Vote and tell us why.

It doesnt matter, but the WBO should man up, its just gona confuse people otherwise. ABC belts dont really matter that much. Cotto - Pac is a super fight.

For me NO. But for team Pac it should and it does.

That means he is taking unnecessary risk for nothing. :D

Cotto is getting a shot at the P4P Number 1 and all the legacy, money and big fights that come with that if he wins.

What is Pac getting out of this fight is he doesn't get Cotto's belt? No matter who he fights at the moment it's going to generate alot of money.

So yes it's very important that Cotto's belt is on the line. They're fighting in the Welterweight division, how can a Welterweight belt not be on the line?

It would be VERY strange if Cotto lost at 145 which is within the WW boundries and he still got to keep the WW belt and call himself a champion.

Historically it's significant because it will be Pac's 7th belt in his 7th division. But honestly I don't really mind if it's a non-title fight. I just want to see the action!

It matters to the fighter when his name is announced in the ring; and in their records. We get to watch a great fight.

This is not true he has a very limited number of options to generate a lot of money. They are Mosley ,Cotto Floyd. Floyd has a fight so he must choose between Mosley and Cotto. They saw some weaknesses in Cotto so they chose him. And for the belt yes and no. They are fighting within the WW limit this is true. But is it normal the champion to penalised and to be obliged to fight under the limit??
