Is it a coincidence that MArgo has not won a legit fight since the scandal?

Margarito is a ******. Theres my two cents.

 

I've thought alot about this and think he never used them. the first time he beat cotto, Cotto got tired quicker than in their second fight. Also guys like Mosley and Pacquiao thrive off of fighters like Margarito that come straight forward. Even before he was "caught" he didnt have one punch KO power and when he fought Pacquiao there's a rumour that the body shot in the 6th had him in bed for the whole day after and against cotto he still bruised him up even though not the same way as teh first time

 

A lot of you guys are/were overrating Margarito. He was always a weak fighter who relied on his granite chin and heavy hands(with plaster) to outlast his opponents. Nothing more.

 

But would that have happened if Naz didn't catch the wraps?

 

I think it had a lot to do with Shane kicking his ass.
It wasn't quick KO either. It was more damaging. He brutally got beaten down Mentally and Physically.


People can blame the wraps but when you can't even land a punch on another fighter your ass got exposed in a different way.

The key to Shane's victory was also landing body-shots. One in specific early on burst Margarito's oxygen tank.

 

Of course. Margarito was barely putting anything on him while he was getting hammered with dead-on power punches all night. He could've had literal bricks in his gloves and gotten brutalized in there. Mosley fought him perfectly and he had no clue what to do about it whatsoever.
