Is it a myth or a fact: Defensive fighters get hit less?

    the defensive guys you mentioned were not getting hit as much as their more offensive counterparts.

    Defensive fighters also try to control the lead arms of their opponents; if you are not allowed to extend your arm fully for the jab, you won't punch as quickly and accurately and if you do hit, the impact will be far less. This is one of many ways a good defense will decrease the damage you take in a fight. You can slip a punch, you can step away from it or roll with it - but you can also try to control the arm throwing the punch. A good defensive fighter can do all of this.

    Fact! I think when you get hit more it's considered your defense is going down :lol:

    Hitting on the arms and shoulders isn't nearly as bad as gettin' hit on the vital targets although Rocky Marciano was very effective wearing down his opponents hitting on the arms beating the guard down :good:bbb
