Leonard and Hearns began their careers as much larger men than Floyd/pacquiao.

    Absurd? No, not really.

    They all fought/fight at Welterweight...

    No ofcourse not.

But its probably a fair assumption to say Leonard and Hearns would smash em'.

For starters, I don't see Hearns losing a 12rd fight at 147lbs to anyone but SRR.
And Leonard, I'd comfortably pick over both Floyd and Pacquiao, at 147lbs and up.

It's not absurd; they all accomplished a lot at the weight. Just because the former would be heavily favored to lose against the latter doesn't mean the match-ups are wholly unfair.

Floyd? No he had a chance against them though they would murder him overall in a series.

Pacquiao? He has no chance against Floyd so of course him being mentioned as an opponent for prime versions of SRL & Tommy is cruel and unusual punishment.

Im usually against nostalgia sentiment but i see Hearns as probably the worst stylistic matchup for Floyd.
Floyd would probably not have a single advantage here.

Somebody that is just as fast, hits much harder, is as good of a boxer (even if its offense vs defense) with a 3 inch height and 6 inch reach advantage.

I don't think either May or Pac would be fighting at 147 if they were fighting in SRL/Hearns times, Manny would be stuck at 135, and Floyd at 140. But in fantasy match no, they are both welters, so not absurd at all.

Absurd, no. Not necessarily the fairest matchup.

Matching up Tommy Hearns with Michael Spinks & Bob Foster at 175 aren't the fairest matchups either.

Yes. I dont consider them any better than the previous generation of WWs with Oscar, Forrest, Mosley, Tito, or Quartey. Both only became big names thru a past his prime Oscar. They still great fighters, but even Oscar who was considered for a time facing made to order fighters faced more quantity of great fighters than those two put together. Its laughable *******s claiming Pacman would beat Duran when he cant beat Marquez. And then Leonard, Hagler, and Hearns? Are you ****ing kidding? Those guys werereal men and real champs not these making excuse after excuse. I still have hope for them only reason I still watch them.

ok so you would pick them but Floyd winning is not out of the realm of possibility right? That being said they are much bigger guys. Floyd could and should be fighting at 140 right now. Thats the whole problem with judging Floyd and Manny vs hearns and Leonard its not the weight classes they should be even fighting at
