Is it best to stand tall or lowered stance when fighting?

    sorry for the stupid threads. I’m trying to teach my self with instructional videos. One thing I’ve noticed is different techniques are taught. What is the benefit of fighting talk vs a lowered stance?

    I assume that the taller stance gives you more mobility while the deeper stance gives you more power

    knees should be bent only time you should or could be tall is on the outside away from the "danger zone" other than that, being tall makes you an easier target both to the head and body. when you bend at the knees you also make your torse a smaller target for the elbows to cover safely and the power will come from the legs

    try this
    stand tall with your legs straight and throw a soft jab at something (preferably not a wall)
    then bend your knees and throw the same soft jab at that something and you will feel the difference with little to no effort with the exception of the bent knees
