Is it better for him to retire or go on fighting weaker opponents in the future?
So if Pac retires....what will happen?

If Pac retires without facing FMJ then he needs shot & buried next to FMJ (who`s already been shot at this point for being a *****)

emmanuel knows he can beat anyone but Floyd right now. Why not make all these random fights to suck as much cash out of boxing as he possibly can? Prizefighters can only make checks off of boxing for a limited amount of time in their lives. emmanuel sells at least 700K regardless of who he fights. That's considered a high general number.

He won't be retiring in 3 years. He needs money for his constituents. He can fight anyone who can give him the biggest purse.

Why retire when you can make an avg. of 20 million dollars per fight while consistently outclassing your opponents and taking little if any sustained damage?

This fight could be made easily enough if Pac would speak for himself rather than let Arum deal with things... Arum wants no part of Mayweather because like me, he thinks Mayweather will outbox Manny & the Pac money train will come to a halt.

Its clear as day Arum doesnt want this fight & Floyd acting like a ***** & Pac acting like a dumbass mute is only helping the old ***** **** the entire world of boxing fans yet again.

Floyd n Pac need a sitdown with just those 2 (perhaps a translator for Pac can be allowed), no cameras, no bull**** & more importantly no fat greasy assholes.

    Thats my view !

We'd probably already have a fight if that was the way things go down.

Totally agree with you. Bob Arum is a scourge on boxing, seriously. What makes me sick, is boxing fans who actually take what Bob Arum says seriously. The guy is the biggest scumbag in the business and is the biggest reason why Mayweather vs Pacquiao has not happened in my honest opinion.

We all know the nickname: "In-House Bob" --- No better way to ensure victory... Top Rank vs Top Rank. No matter who wins, you get your money, and you still have a cash cow to market to boxing fans. Win, win situation.

You do realize Bob Arum used to promote Mayweather don't you? You don't think "In-House Bob" is upset at Mayweather buying himself out of his contract and going on to make some of the biggest pay days of his career? Without "In-House Bob" who promoted him the entire way who did not get a dime of the revenue? The same "In-House Bob" who says Mayweather's money requests for Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, and De La Hoya were "unrealistic" even though Mayweather went on to make MORE than what he asked Bob Arum for? Yea, that's the guy.

Nah... Bob Arum wouldn't be mad about missing out on millions of dollars from a fighter he used to promote. Nope, not at all. :blood

Arum was actually in the thick of things negotiating for a fight w/ Floyd as he choe to drop out of the limelight. How can you blame Arum for Floyd's pussiness?

All you have to do check on past articles on how Arum tried several times to negotiate w/ Floyd for a fight. When someone is uncooperate, naturally you'll look for other boxers to fight your boy.

...I don't envy guys like Manny and Floyd sometimes. To be so great that fighting good fighters seems like a total ****ing waste of time in some people's eyes, even so much so that they would just as soon see them retire...ridiculous. Since when did people not want to see great fighters fight the good fighters that are available? Manny is a fighter. Let the mother****er fight whoever the **** is there. ...****ing hell.

Actually, you have your facts mixed up.

Arum's contract with Mayweather was ending, so he offered Mayweather a 3 fight deal: Cotto, Margarito, and Hatton before Mayweather bought himself out of his deal with Top Rank.

Mayweather wanted 10 million instead of 8 million for Cotto and Hatton, (Mayweather agreed to 8 million for Margarito according to Bob Arum himself) and wanted 20 million to fight Oscar. Bob said "that wasn't in the cards." Direct quote.

The whole "he ducked Margarito" stuff is complete nonsense by idiotic Pacquiao fan boys. It was a 3 fight deal, not a deal for "just Margarito." Bob Arum did not want to guarantee Mayweather the money he wanted as he did not feel Mayweather was a big enough draw to warrant that kind of pay check.

Arum was wrong. Now he is mad, and will do anything to talk trash. When he was promoting Mayweather, Floyd was the greatest boxer he had seen since Ali and SRL. Those are Bob Arum's words when he promoted Floyd. After Top Rank? Suddenly Floyd is a ducker of every fighter under the Top Rank banner... YEAH ****ING RIGHT! When Cotto and Mayweather were both being promoted by Arum, Arum did all he could and kept Cotto FAR AWAY from fighting Mayweather. It was a non-option to Arum when they were both fighting for him.

Fact is: Bob Arum's job IS NOT to produce the best fights possible. His job is to market his fighters the best he can... that has nothing to do with "putting on the best fights available." Bob Arum wants to make money, period. He isn't interested in what the fans want and the dumbass fans supporting his bull**** antics are straight up disgusting.
