Is it correct to say that these will be the reactions of the GGG/Lemieux fight?

It's like this with every fighter. Some idiot will continuously discredit EVERYTHING they do. Welcome to the online world of hatred where anonymity is your best friend! Please stay for a while...

This'll be the gayest thing i ever say, but who cares about the haters? You won't win everyones hearts and minds, there will always be those with some kind of irrational grudge

I know but irrational hate against someone who is the epitome of a fan friendly fighter just really rubs me the wrong way.

You suggested that the Canelo who fought Floyd was at the same level as the Lemiuex the fought Rubio which is plain wrong. Canelo was a world champion and top 20 p4p, Lemiuex was a relative nobody. Two opposite ends of the spectrum.

Imagine how I feel watching all this vitriol I'm a big fan of GGG and evidently one of the rare big David Lemieux fans.

Their hate is based in fear, often times fear comes from a place of insecurities, and watching GGG they know deep in their hearts what he'd do to Floyd and Cotto and possibly even Ward and instead of admitting it to themselves they live in denial and bash away because it makes them feel better.

P4P Lemieux is nothing special but unifying Titles matters, credit doesn't really lay in beating Lemieux but in holding 2/4 Titles.

No. That's not my comparison at all.

My comparison was just as Canelo has improved as a fighter after his loss to Mayweather, Lemieux improved as a fighter after his loss to Rubio as well.

Lennox Lewis is a McCall leftover. Ali is just a Holmes leftover. Hearns was just a Leonard leftover when Hagler fought him....I could do this all night genius

This is what happens when a great fighter beats a non great fighter.

If GGG wants absolute respect then he must beat somebody potentially great. That means Andre Ward.

This isn't the case at all.. I'm pretty sure boxing fans know GGG will beat Cotto since he isn't a real MW and every WW including Floyd because GGG's a MW.. It does seem like the Pac fans converted to GGG though.. All the stuff they talked about undefeated fighters went away..

I do believe the unbelievable hype he's getting is rubbing people the wrong way.. People talk about him being the best MW ever but hasn't beat any great or very very good fighters.. He's knocking out good fighters though which is fun to watch, but he needs a fight to get him over the hump.. He needs to fight a guy who isn't described as a fighter who's a lot better since he lost to the last guy who wasn't that good...
