Is it fair to say if anyone was ever going to beat Joe, its Hopkins?

I think joe had fought everyone Hopkins had, he would have done a better job and beaten all but Roy Jones. But i get the feeling maybe Hopkins is the man to beat Calzaghe,

Kind of like how Bolton always beat Arsenal, even though the gooners are by far the better team. (could not think of a boxing versain of this, and i am not saying hopkins is bolton. If Calzaghe is Arsneal then Hopkins is Everton. Although if he was any team it would be Chelsea, ALL THATS IN BRACKETS IS ME RAMBLING)

Bolton haven't beaten Arsenal in the last five games between them :thumbsup

In conclusion, Calzaghe ko7 Hopkins and Cesc Fabregas ko3 El Hadj Diouf.

Philadelphia - nondescript northern city mainly known for crime and grime. Blimey he is Bolton!

Follow the analogy, it's almost an exact replica of Islington, just with nicer pubs and less buses.

Pretty good question.... To be honest though. I'm 50-50 about Benn and Eubank both having the capability to beat him. I think Jones would have done a number on him. I think McLellon would have beat him, a peak Frankie Liles would be no worse then 60-40. Toney would have beat Joe. Micheal Nunn possibly. Other then that I think Joe is a certain pick over anyone.

If think Dariusz Michalczewski would have beaten Joe Calzaghe at 175 in the 90's.

I think Calzaghe is very underrated on the inside, many see him as a guy who throws a lot of shots and being very busy on the outside, but I feel he would have had the skills inside to give RJJ a lot of problems.

Peak Benn was the one that beat McLellon he would have been too canny for a peak Calzaghe I have no doubts at all about that one.

Eubank was good enough to have Zag in serious trouble in their fight when he was well past his best and took the fight at short notice and was probably weight drained. A peak Eubank would have got Joe doing the Enzo shuffle far earlier then that.

Jones- Would have toyed with Zag..... We'll see what hopkins does tomorrow but envisage that plus add on way more speed and you'll have a jones shut out.

McLellon was an underated boxer and an excellent finisher. He would have beaten Hopkins and I think he would have been good enough to beat Joe though this is a questionable pick due to his poor opposition.

Toney would have played with Joe.... He was far too good an in fighter for Joe and would have been to quick and clever. Toney safe pick IMO.

Nunn and Liles- both superb boxers with good, rangy skills. I think both would have had the ability to stay away and outbox Joe like Hopkins will tomorrow but again these picks are questionable.

20+ WBO defences. And you think the top 168lbs would beat him?
Have you seen him fight? :patsch

the closer we get to this fight the more i'm worried for joe.

i wonder how many "another brit hypejob exposed" threads we'll get in the general forum if bhop wins.
