Is it fair to say that Cruiserweight has largely been seen as a nothing division in the grand scheme of boxing divisions?

No disagree. More talent in there than the HW division. Just a shame many have to move up to HW to chase the £££s.

It's a competitive, euro-filled division, which means it gets short shrift from much of the press. But you can't dispute the high quality fights from it over the last 15 years.

Come on, any division that has Haye or Adamek in a a top five greatest ever, in the grand scheme of things, can't be that great.

Anyone old enough have always viewed it as a bit of a nothing division, including pretty much most boxers.

You have an opinion, but that does not equate with the blanket statement you just made.

It's a young division but is in much the same position as 168 was a few years back. It's no welterweight, but there have been excellent fights and some solid fighters.

Sadly I think it will always be looked upon as the poor mans HW and it's Champions chasing the money at HW only adds that.

How many CWs in recent times have dumped the division just to move up to heavy and blow out?

I know it get's overlooked but to me being a pure boxing fan I am thankful of the fights I have witnessed in this division.

It's the newest division, it's becoming more noticed, but never will get the attention of the heavyweights................

its a new division relatively, so there isn't the history of other divisions. but, the fighters tend to be big, strong, fit and can bang a bit so it makes for good fights.

star quality is perhaps not as high as some other divisions but plenty of great scraps.

it is what it is. will never be an elite division because the lure of HW $ is so close.

    It's not the newest division.
