Is It Fair To Say That David Haye Has No Chance Of Being A Hall Of Famer Based On His Boxing Career?

Ottke is not in the HOF. Maske is not in the HOF. Why on earth would Haye get in there? Based on what big wins, or long-term dominance or overarching achievement for our sport?

He should be, it was plain to see that guy was one of the best fighters to come out of the UK

I mean he had it all. Talent, Skill, Power, Speed, slick, entertaining, focused, disciplined, great physique.

Yeah that's how I see it. He was a big cruiser and had heavyweight power but far too small for that era's heavyweight division. You see him now next to genuine heavies and he looks small now he isn't bulked up, hell even Johnny Nelson who was a cruiserweight when it was only 190lbs dwarfs him now.

I think he could of reigned at cruiser for a while and probably carved out a HOF level career but the lure of money at heavyweight was always going to be too tempting for any cruiserweight who looks to be head and shoulders above the rest at that weight.

In terms of merit, yes. With the outrageously low standards of the BHOF, who knows?

Haye is a shoe in to get in. Fighting with the massive toe injury alone should guarantee it. a snug fit.

I think he just misses. Despite those who tout his CW cv, it's actually pretty thin. And THAT'S where any merit might come from, his CW days.

Definitely not. And I was a Haye fan. A career of smoke and mirrors
