Is it fair to say that Guzman is the most avoided fighter today?

Pac and his promoter Top Rank has never really put him in their list of potential fights, even if Guzman has been very vocal about his interest to fight him.

JMM turned down an open offer from Guzman to replace Barrios as his fight; instead JMM chose the snail-like Juarez.

Valero, likewise, had never considered him, even though they can fight anywhere in the world, since both of them are not big in US.:yep

The rest, even those who are looking for big-time fights, or step-up fights, I thnk are not even thinking of going out to have him as their foe.

    What do you think?:think

Being drunk is no excuse for poor spelling, just poor reflexes and impaired judgement. I dont know who is avoiding Guzman, then again i dont know who is more avoided than Guzman can we drop this subject I am tired

Yes, it's very fair and very sad to say that, especially when you consider that Guzman probably only has a few more years left as an elite fighter and still has to travel around the world beating fighters 4-5 levels below him to make some money.

Guzman claims to be the avoided one even claiming tht Pac avoided him at 122 which is entirely wrong.

The fact however is that Guzman is just picking easy fights. A supposed WBO champion yet woud pick a number 13 (WBO ranked only) in Davis as a title defense iis appalling. In his resume, you can only name two worth mentioning (not even a class As) opponents.

Assumingthat everybody is avoiding him, why can he not fight the number 1 or at least ranked 5 opponent. Yet if you examine his resume, most of them are no hoper. His resume is a little bit better than Valero but not by much.

One thing that also that bothers me is that he only fights occasionally. Since December 2007, he only fought twice. One against a dinousarian aged Antonio Davis and Humberto Soto. That is almost an average of 1 fight per year. That is why he only has few fight in his belt despite being an "elderly" in boxing in terms of age. Another thingthat is disturbing istheir propensity to cancel fights.

There is really nothing that a fighter should be wary of Guzman. He is so featherfisted that he had not had a KO since he moved up fro 122 despite the quality of his opposition. He is also a very hittable target. He may be slick but he is nowhere FMJ because he gets tags more often necessary.

Guzman may be avoided because he simply does not bring anything at the table and not because fighters are afraid of him.

I thought I should have bumped this right after his no-show against Nate.

Indeed. I think the guy is his own worst enemy to be honest. He's had title fights lined up with Scott Harrison, Alex Arthur (leagues below the others on this lit but it was still an option) and Nate Campbell lined up and has managed to screw up all of them. He needs to concentrate on making himself marketable in order to hit the big time and has thus far failed to do so.

Guzman has pulled out of two fights that I know of.

More like the most avoiding fighter today, if you ask me.
