Is it fair to say Wilder has got his aggression back?

Yeah, but the power isn't quite there to back it up. Maybe, as Kirk points out, it's the timing.

 

No, Wilder is cooked. I find it funny how Chisora found a way to lose a decision against Wilder

 

He looked awful, clumsy punches delivered weirdly and Chisora's crazy overhands found his head. It was a testament of how far Wilder has slipped that he couldn't sink a listing oil tanker like Chisora

 

Still good power, but no longer has the speed or timing that used to bring him victories...

 

Wilder still hesitated a lot when it was time to punch. He also rarely planted his feet to throw a proper punch (he spent most of the fight arm punching). However, he’s never lacked heart, and it’s fair to say he’s regained some of his aggression.

 

And even that is highly debatable. It's funny how Wilder barely scraped by a 42 year old Chisora who came in at a career high weight and has over 10 losses. Both are shot to bits.

No. Anything good than can be said about Wilder after the fight is only noticeable next to a career-heavy, shot to bits Chisora.

 

There was a lot of hammer down punches he was throwing which I wouldn’t have usually associated with him, I know Derek isn’t a tall HW but it was very bizarre.

 

He looked more confident and resilient, but his speed and power has taken a noticeable decline.

 

I think his right hand was messed up, as I didn't see him use his knuckles, instead he was slapping his punches with the palm side of his hand. If those punches in round 8 were proper punches, Chisora would have been on his back.

 

Nah, he was aggressive against Zhang too, he just got blasted out.
