Is it fair to say Young beat Peak Foreman?

Counter my post with an intelligent argument instead of a stupid emoticon.

I think it was more or less a Douglas-Tyson situation, in that he was physically in his prime but just not very focussed or well prepared. In Foreman's case confidence issues might well have been in play as well, though.

Oh, I wish I could take credit for that quote. Google Yogi Berra quotes.

Side note on the fight: Foreman lost points for rough tactics and almost collapsed from exhaustion in the last round. The rest of the fight was Young trying to avoid Foreman punches. George was the aggressor the entire bout. This was not a convincing win by Young.

I'll bite. Can you please give us a rundown on how Young beats Prime Foreman, Prime Ali, Liston, Tyson, Wlad, Louis, Lewis, Dempsey, Johnson, etc?

Young was a durable, slippery boxer. Foreman had lots of trouble with those guys. Even if you think Foreman was at his best when Young beat him (and yes Young convincingly beat him) he still would have had problems with Jimmy on his best day.
