i agree i am a big fan of hatton. but his footwork was on existent. he fought the wrong fight. however, no style would of beaten PBF on saturday he was unstoppable but he did not fight the right fight to even test mayweather

other people have been giving their own same opinion on Hatton for years, so why ask ME to change the record? Oh yeah, that's it....you don't like my opinion. Get a grip man. I don't care if you disagree....we have facts to deal with....your idea of what would happen Witter v Hatton is purely conjecture. You're just gonna have to deal with the fact there are many who think Hatton was overrated all along.

I ready the daily mail and I believe two articles suggested Earl and Hatton were done. It saddens me that in boxing as soon as you lose it is because you are done in some shape or form.

Ricky lost, now he'll come back.

You agree with me that it's wrong?

How the hell is our game supposed to mature if as soon as a good fighter loses he is 'done'.

Well of course i bloody agree! Im not a Hatton fan and think his overrated but its completely stupid to say that after one loss his lost a step, his on the slide, he should retire bla bla.Physically Hatton is no diffrent to how his been in his recent fights. His got plenty of fights left in him although i dont think he`ll be around for that much longer.

His first loss was to the best fighter in the world at a higher weight then his most effective division. If he can recover from this KO defeat at 140lbs he could still have a few years at the top. He should have an easy warm up befpre challenging Witter or Malignaggi but if he gets beaten comprehensively by either then he's probably finished at the top level.

Hatton's ballooning caught up with him.

I don't care if he had a six-pack. 3 months training does nothing for your fitness when you are fighting Mayweather and have been resting half of every year.

Wait he had three fights this year, urango castillo and floyd and yes he likes a bevy but he only had maybe a few weeks of this time not like he did against collazo. His training camps last for 12 weeks a piece. What happened was that he got in the ring against a man who is better than him and probably most people. Castillo and corralles were not on the slide after they got beat of mayweather and corralles' beating was worse than ricky's they had an incredibale run at lightweight and probably been in the most exciting fight over the past decade.

he is going to have to really keep the headmovement he had vs floyd in the first 3 rds or so and keep it throughout the fight against the 140 crew he ;ll be fighting. he started to run out of steam in the 8th and caught up with him in the 10th
seemed tohappen to him late vs Collazo too

People have simply forgotten what Hatton did for 6 or 7 rounds before things went bad.

Hatton begun by moving his head and making Floyd miss. Later he stopped moving his head as much as Floyd made him pay for having no defence on the inside other than clinching.

For 6/7rounds Ricky was always with Floyd. He'd taken a few rounds from him and the rest were close and competative. One or two rounds he kept Floyd tied up and on the ropes for the whole round.

People just forgotten cos in 8th, 9th and 10th it was ALL Floyd.
