Is it inevitable that Usyk will be considered the H2H GOAT in boxing history

Chisora matched Frazier in a punch count, Rahman against Toney almost set a HW record and Kabayal just killed Zhang with body volume… there are fit fighters out there.

I’d like to see him make a thread where he talks about how Ali would beat Usyk instead, a breakdown, a tactic, idea, gameplan or flaw he sees anything… Schmeling undid Louis with a few key insights, a dedicated forum could do wonders if we tried to find how to best Usyk… Say what you will about my Toney vs Foreman thread I’m positive someone even if it was some 12 year old lurker who likes Jake Paul who we will never chat to came away amused and a teeny bit educated by “something” someone was discussing for Foreman or against.

Because I can do whatever I want. If I want to claim Usyk is the goat and heavyweight boxers are better now than they've ever been then I will claim that. If I think Ali could compete with Usyk then I will say that. The question is, which do you think my real opinion is. Maybe boxing has evolved and only the 1990s onwards can compete today. Maybe you're right and old, sturdy, smarter Foreman is better than young dehydrated glass chin Foreman from the 70s and Ali would lose to Larry Donald and David Haye. Sports always get better, boxing is no different. Our athletes may be superior in skills, or not

Bigger guys with skill and workrate > Smaller guys with skill and workrate. Boxing has come a long way, we're witnessing one of the strongest eras ever I'm not even joking. I clown Fury but his combination of size and skill make him a h2h nightmare for anyone not named Usyk or Bowe. Ali would struggle really bad even though he may win, but he's never fought anyone of that caliber

    We have been there before.

Recentism is a thing; we know.
Usually there is a bias to consider the new champion as the best ever. It happens time after time.

The current Usyk fad is not different than the Tyson fad, Wlad Fad ... there was even a Fury fad.

That's an answer to a different question.

I didn't ask whether you had the right to post these threads. Of course you have the right. I asked why you do it.

Well, obviously I think you believe the old timers were better. I wouldn't have asked the question otherwise.

He moved like a middleweight because he was one. He ate his way up to get to where Foreman cut down to.

This is just overblown. Usyk a great champion and an ATG but hes not the GOAT. He's just not. I'm not sure if he's the best Ukrainian HW ever...

I'm the opposite of fanatic, but yes he deserves his place at the table, but way too fights and some tough fights to say he is without certain number 1

Past eras demanded 15 round fights with 6oz gloves, same day weigh ins & higher fighter frequency... these factors alone are something Usyk hasn't experienced as a professional. He would be hit harder & a lot more often. Take away too the modern PEDs, more advanced medical science , safer regulations & less recovery time.. then try keeping your winning streak?

22 fights.. & the two most standout names on it are Fury & Joshua.. who's best win combined is a 40 year old jab & grab Klitschko. Fair play for the size gap but Fury barely beat a wrestler & Joshua can't take a punch for ****.. & both have the ring grace of a fried egg.. & we're extrapolating from that that hes gunna be the GOAT are we?

You cannot say he is the H2H great when he hasn't experienced many of the conditions his forebears went through. His technical prowess is undeniable, but the deeper grittier eras of the historical greats i admire more set a higher bar for GOAT status.
