I am interested in this Marquez-Hatton, to see how much both fighters have left. We have yet to see how truly effective Marquez is above 135 (his first foray against PBF didn't go so well), I understand Hatton is not in Marquez's, let alone PBF's class. But if he has 70-80% of his prime he could still give Marquez a lots of problems with his strength and roughhouse tactics. Juan Diaz was able to bully around Marquez for the first 4 or 5 rounds or so (of their barnburner), and Hatton is naturally stronger and bigger than Diaz or Marquez.

Does Hatton plan on fighting beyond JMM?

No chance...I think the only belt holder he'd beat is Urango

I think Hatton/Jmm is a close fight. He will be able to rough him a bit, especially if he is fighting on home turf. For some reason. I'd actually like to see this fight.

I think its possible but sure- anythings possible. physically im sure hes capable of anything he wants- he s still an elite athlete, but mentally , i think he was broken down by pacquiao permanently. We ve seen it in the past with champs like roy, zab, taylor, even oscar felix and cotto. once u cop a horrific beating as he did- psychologically its hard to go in there with the same attitude- the same fearlessness and the same balls.

Especially for someone of his style- Ricky was essentially a ring bully- who didnt get his way with skill or smarts, but with willpower and desire- he simply wouldnt back down- and had to have his way- which he got. once you break a bully- theyre never the same.plus he dosent look after his body- and he s over 30 now- so not only is his mind probably not the same- his spirit and body will never be the same either.

makes u appreciate how hard it is to sustain excellence over a long period of time like manny, floyd , bernard and shane- theyre special fighters
