Is it just me or did anyone notice Pacman's improvement?

:patsch He was in there against a punching bag essentially.

Put him in with Marquez and watch him get ouboxed for a third time.

He was in there twice against Marquez and won both fights, yes they were close but still won. The first fight's scoring was more of a mistake than anything, one dumb judge scored the first a 10-7 instead of 10-6. Being "outboxed" means he'll lose(or lost) clearly and last time I checked both fights were extremely close.

Sure he'll get outboxed but he might also put Marquez on the canvas a few more times again and win another decision. That's why it's such a great matchup.

Are you disputing that Manny Pacquiao was outboxed for 9 rounds in their first bouts, and won less rounds than Marquez in their return bout.

Manny didn't win both fights, in fact, he lost both of them according to many spectators, myself included. However, this isn't the point.

Manny looked great against Diaz, but Juan Manuel Marquez would have done the exact same thing. Probably not stop him, but Diaz would have looked awful against any of the best lightweights in the world. There was no improvement to speak of, because if he had fought Marquez instead of Diaz, he would have been outboxed again.

well we might get our wish. hopfully JMM can win in this division against casa. would make a great III fight becuase as it stands casas belt is the second easiest to take. having that belt would make a III pac/jmm. personally i dont think pac should push his luck by jumping to 140 so soon.

as to why marquez lost . i think its becuase he didnt do his job. a boxer wins by points and puncher wins by KO. pac did his job and jmm didnt. i thought it was a draw but it was close. i have two diffrent opinions about this fight. one everyone who i asked at the fight said pac won and second alot of people who watched the fight on TV thought JMM deserve the nod.

his speed was still there along with his power.
and was not the 1-dimensional fighter he used to be.(tho some would still dispute this).
This is how Pac usually gets it done. JMM is the only one Pac has a hard time beating, but then again, who gives JMM the hardest fight? He passed the test moving up to lightweight, time to unify!
