Is it just me, or is Froch going a bit too far?

Commenting on a potential new fight between DeGale and Groves, Froch demonstrates his support for British boxing:

“I think they’re both equally as poor as each other."

As well as his excitmentent about the SMW division in general:

"Who would I want to win? I couldn’t care less."

He also shows his love towards mankind:

"As long as they punch each other’s heads in for twelve rounds I’ll be smiling ..."

Question: Is Froch acting with the dignity you should expect from a boxer with his remarkable career, or is he losing the plot?

I don't honestly believe he thinks DeGale and a Groves are poor fighters though I would agree with him that Froch has basically sucked all the confidence from Groves.

I don't think so either, but that's just Froch being Froch which is always entertaining (to me at least). He knows how stir the pot, and if he had (or has) an account here, I'd be willing to bet that he'd be (or in fact is) one of the greatest and most effective trolls these forums have ever known - and that speaks volumes in itself.

He's not going too far, he's being his usual snarky, dry self.

Also, the rematch wasn't easy Carl, it was a close fight until the knock out and it wasn't in the first few rounds you stopped him either time so what the hell is that about

It is not knew. He has been an ******* all his life.
Cannot understand why anyone would put him on TV as a commentator.

Froch can make fairly humble and realistic comments when he's in the mode. And when he's not, this is how bad it gets. Froch is probably the last guy you want to lose to, because before the fight he will be so arrogant it's almost sick, and after getting the win, he will get even worse. Groves must be seething inside, but hopefully that fires him up before the showdown with Bardau.

It was miles from being easy, and the pressure on Froch to keep his dignity with a win was extreme.
