He spent 98% of his time out of range x2, jogging on the spot, and not throwing anything. Sure, he looked great jogging on the spot, but that's not really boxing.

He's been shot for over 6 years.

He hasn't had a good win in the past 10 years.

(The nearest he came in all that time was a squeaker over Ruiz)

He is most definitely not any better..this fight just made it look that way. But he isnt much worse I dont think.

His slide has been anything but steep though seeing as though he was supposedly fading coming into the Tyson fights over a decade ago..He certainly was a little past his best when he took on Lewis, but not a whole lot.
    Quite remarkable really.

i thought holy looked real good vs savarese and maddalone but those guys are c level (at least this savarese), but he looked pretty explosive and his reflexes appeare allright. of course he looked bad vs ibragimov and i didn't see the valuev fight. but i'd agree that he has looked better recently (2007 and on) then he did back in 03 (but u also have to factor in that 03 byrd, toney, and donald were difficult fighters for many guys to look good against) so i'll buy that his shoulder was that messed up back then.

I think that there was some truth to Holyfield's shoulder problems making him look worse than he was years ago. He clearly looked better after he returned from surgery.

I am with the opinion that HOlyfield's best was 1996.
