You realize, Mayweather is much smarter and can also be a much more technical fighter than Marquez, and Marquez schooled Pacquiao. I'm not talking about Fighter A beats Fighter B who beats Fighters C so theere for Fighter A beats fighter C.

I think he should just hang them after beating a undefeated fighter like Timid Timmy. Just like how there will never be a RJJ there will never be a fighter like MP. of course it is, he knows he didnt perform against marquez- and he really wanted to make a statement in that fight- probably moreso than any other- that he was up to mayweather if not past him. whether or not he is is nt the point- but he underperformed- and didnt live up to expectations- his aura of invicibilty was tarnished if not blasted away- and so he s not feeling super confident he can beat floyd right now, and rightly so to be honest. its why i think he wasnt super keen and pushing for lfoyd- and arm knew it- and he wanted more time- to work on his game- against bradley- and improve on what he could before he takes on mayweather.

mayweather on the other hand - didnt seem as confident after pac smashed all those big guys- but after the marquez fight- and floyds handling of ortiz- suddenly started calling out pac directly and being pro-active in making the fight- which he wasnt especially before. his confidence went the other way- and he s already always very confident.

and confidence i believe is 90 percent of it mentally in the ring, no matter how well u prepare- you have to believe you ll win to even stand a chance.

 

His team made him believe he was on some other level after that De La Hoya...then he fought Marquez 3 and he realized he wasn't anything more than what he was in Marquez 2; he knows he can't deal with counter punchers and this also presents problems in his mind.

They should have never told him he was so great when he really was just fighting hand picked opponents. Marquez wasn't handpicked and he beat Pacquiao 8-4 in that third fight.
