Is it just me, or is Wahid's resume aging quite well?

If Davis forced Haney to comeback down to 135 AND put a rehydration clause on him then him being drained would absolutely be a valid criticism. Haney's chinny sure but he's an accomplished chinny fighter. Wouldn't matter to me. And Haney isn't unproven. Beat Linares, Diaz, Kambosos, Loma and Prograis back to back. Would be a bad criticism to make.

Loma is on the older side but he has shown that he's still in good form. But if he looks like crap against Kambosos then yeah I'd probably say this, because Tank would've avoided fighting him for years only to finally challenge him once he looks like he's slipping. As for him being undersized, unlike LSC he's a proven commodity at his weight. Was a unified champion and the clear number 1 in the division for a bit.

Shakur is 26, a former unified champion and damn near cleaned out 130. Wouldn't make sense to call him green

Teo holds the best win over Loma and beat Taylor.

I criticise Tanks resume because I want him to fight the best, but he doesn't seem to want to. Loma, Garcia, Haney, Teo, Shakur and even Kambosos have all showed far more ambition in there careers than him lmao. His ambition seems to cap out at fighting good contender level guys.

The hate runs deep. He beat arguably the current top 140 last year and is currently scheduled to fight one of the best at 135.

You're talking in present tense to defelct. If any of those fights had taken place in the last few years, those are what I predict your excuses would've been.

Don't hate Tank, I think he may just be the best of the bunch. But I hate the way he's been managed. He beat Garcia but he beat Garcia before Garcia had done really anything of note. He was undeniably the least accomplished of those guys at that point. and on top of that it was Garcia who chased that fight and had to agree to whatever terms Tank set. I give him credit for the win but not P4P type credit.
The Frank Martin fight is a good fight but Martin thus far has only shown himself to be a good contender level guy. Same with Garcia at the time they fought.

No, I'm talking in present tense because I assumed we were talking about him fighting them now.

Haney? Maybe if it happened pre Kambosos or Diaz.
Loma? Nope. my points would still stand
Shakur? Only if the fight happened pre Herring or Valdez
Teo? Nope. Never been the type to make such a deal out of illnesses or injuries in fights unless their effects are glaringly obvious during the fight.

Tank has a pretty good resume. The issue is that it could be much better. The guys nearly 30 years old. Any dislike I have towards him and his team comes purely from his lack of ambition. So if he would just take more tests then the "hate" wouldn't run deep as you claim it does.

    So if they happened today....
Haney is chinny and used goods.
Lomachenko is old and would obviously lose. He would only stand out in name on Tank's resume.
Teo has looked crappy in most of his fights over the last few years. It would be easy to downplay if Tank outclassed him.
Shakur is the real deal. But if Tank beat him, people would point to Shakur being a blown up 126 with a thin resume.

There's nobody out there who Tank could fight right now who would truly make the haters shut their mouths. He'd have to do something absurd like beat Boots at 147.

People like that will hate no matter what so their opinions shouldn't really be taken into account. But that doesn't necessarily mean that Tank shouldn't even bother fighting these guys. They are still his best available options for opponents. They can earn him the most money and they are who can give him a strong legacy. If he fights and beats them, sure people will take credit but that's gonna happen no matter who he fights, and it'll only be worse if he doesn't fight them at all.

It's def just you. Cherry gonna pick cherry.

Right time, right weight, right circumstances. Definitely no fights happening at the right time, weight, and place...
    But go on
