You see it as because he's a cash cow, because he's a big name, and that may be a factor. And he wouldn't be the first cash cow who got favorable scoring. But there are other ways to look at it. There's a reason why he's a cash cow and why he's a big name. It's because he's a great fighter who has a fan friendly style, he's an accurate puncher, and not just an accurate puncher, but an accurate power puncher. He also has great defensive and counter punching. It's not crazy to think that judges like his style and that his opponents simply can't match him punch for punch. That's why he wins rounds.

Canelo does not get the respect he deserves as a high level in ring tactician, which results in him winning some rounds that fans disagree with, because fans generally count punches and score rounds primarily on activity. But there are many ways to win a round, and Canelo does a lot of things in the ring that catches the eye of the judges, that most fans don't pay attention to or don't value enough to swing close rounds in his favor.
