    or does anybody else see the controversy with the official result of the darchinyan/arce fight ?

    the fight was declared an 11th round tko win for vic because off a cut arce sustained during the fight but the cut was NOT caused by a punch.
    if you watch the replay you can clearly see it was caused by the top rope
    not vics fist.

    so technically the fight shouldve went to the scorecards and who knows how these stupid ****ing judges where seeing it. id imagin it wouldve been a wide ud for vic but you never know. either way it would still not be classed as a tko victory and his record would look a little bit less impressive

    am i the only one who noticed or gives a **** about this ?

    He smacked Arce from round 1 to round 11...

    The judges scorecards pretty much reflected this at the time of stoppage

    Arce's eye looked like spaghetti bolognese at the end of round 1 anyway

    Arce wouldn't have had the problem if Vic didn't hit so hard he had to crouch to escape the punishment of coming forward

    And again...

    going into the fight arce didnt have a snowballs chance in hell.

    you could see it in his eyes....

    doesn't matter.... i thought the ref was going to save arce couple of times. it was too one sided.

    i read the judges had it pretty convincingly for Vic, so it wouoldnt have mattered. However, what if it was close?

    I think the ref would let the fight continue if is not so one-sided. Arce was taking some bombs and holding to survive on several occasions and body language suggested he was bother by cut and hurt. He was also showing fatigue... I think Ref saved him personally.

    i think it does matter if a punch didnt cause the cut then people in the future shouldnt be able to say vic knocked out arce.

    rules are rules they should apply to everybody

    It's just you. Refs confuse cuts from butts etc for punches all the time and it has a far more controversial impact on the fight than this instance (Green v Beyer is one of the worst I can remember). I haven't looked closely at what caused the cut on this occasion. You are saying that it unfair to Arce to say that he was KO'd by Vic when it should have been a loss on cuts. In reality though that is hardly a fair reflection of how the fight was. It was a beatdown from go to woe with two good rounds from that tough mofo Arce. The fight easily could have been stopped in the 11th. I think the ref was giving Arce some dignity by ending it on a cut rather than see him come out and anihilated in the 12th.

    It was so one-sided, dude. Vic would of stopped him in the 12th, anyway.

    im aware of that bro im not saying the fight shouldnt of been stopped
    im saying it shouldnt of been called a ko. it should of been a points win

    no punch caused the cut. its the same if it was a clash of heads you go to the score cards not declare the uncut guy the winner

    wat if it was vic who got the cut from the rope and not arce would arce of been declared the winner by ko ???

    What if Arce had tripped over the bottom rope, twisted his ankle and been unable to continue. Should they go to the cards?
