Canelo is noticeably smaller than Golovkin. If it isn't apparent to some already, it will become so, on the night of the fight.

Golovkin: 173 vs Rubio

I think if Golovkin is truly bigger than Canelo it would reflect in their actual measurements as opposed to the measurements of two abnormal super heavies.
