He has been hinting at for a while, it would be a huge fight, it makes sense as chavez looks to have outgrown the lighmiddleweight division
it would be big and it may happen but pavlik will get **** on for it for two reasons 1)chavez isn't nearly ready 2)chavez is **** anyway. it's a cash out fight for an investment. chavez is JUST one big fight. that's it. they're building him up over time, making some money with small ppvs along the way to get him a megafight that he doesn't deserve. everyone knows his never gonna be a star or an elite but if you build his fanbase now, you can get him one HUGE fight with pavlik that will make millions before people realize how mediocre he is. pavlik completely destroys his credibility for the one sided beatdown that will occur but that's the idea, one big paycheque and goodbye. good business sense
yeah i said the same thing to my brother, he said they should put him in with a verno philips first, but why risk him with philps when there is a good chance he will get beat, if your gonna risk him do it in a super fight like pavlik
Awful fight. Chavez has no head movement and will take a bad beating. I could see his Dad stepping through the ropes to save his son from the pasting.
arum is gonna cash chavez in anytime now for a big fight before one of these no name fighters beats him
see, i disagree. i think he realizes chavez is never gonna be his father: in talent or draw. might as well get SOMETHING out of the useless ****
