The make-up idea is insane, but cutting himself deliberately is not.

To believe that Haye is 100% incapable of pulling a stunt like this despite his history is the very definition of insane.

Peter Fury is convinced Haye faked it, is he insane too?

 

No, he's just deluded, like his oafish nephew.

 

TBH I believe Haye would wear makeup and is a drama queen :emma

Is there no chance that Booth didn't want to have to deal with a torrent of abusive, hostile and threatening tweets from angry Fury fans?

Why would Haye fake a cut to his eye? Win or lose, he stands to make £millions. Does anyone truly believe that a pro boxer would dodge such a payday because they were somehow scared? He's a boxer ffs, he knows he's gonna get hit, and he knows what it's like to lose - what do you imagine he's scared of?

 

Bottom Line:

Why in hell would Haye (OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER) fake an injury ,and leave 5 million pounds on the table, just to duck a guy who he undoubtedly would have potshoted into submission? I understand that many people dislike David for one reason or another but he's no dummy.
