Is It Possible That Pac Has Trumped Mayweather To Fight Oscar?

There is an article going around and I know many of you know about it, but are discounting it.

My questions is why is this not possible? Here is my arguement for it (note: this doesn't mean I support it).

    1. Nothing to my knowledge has been signed between Oscar and Floyd.

    2. Oscar has little shot at beating Floyd.

    3. Oscar could possibly make just as much money fighting Manny, or more. Manny just sold over 400K buys. Thats more than Floyd ever sold before fighting Oscar.

    4. Mainstream fans will buy this matchup, and don't tell me they won't. If they are stupid enough to buy the hype on a second Mayweather fight they are stupid enough to buy this fight. And Pac fans will buy it no matter what. The fight also has a freak show aspect to it that sells.

    5. This is a fight that Oscar will win, which I am sure he badly wants. There will be criticism, however he could argue he did the same fighting the middleweight champ (although not as drastic, I know).

    6. Finaly, I see posters saying that Manny's people won't let him take this fight. Puuulease. He will make 20-25 million, more than a fight with all three lightweights together. His stock won't go down afterwards, only up my friends. You don't think Arum wants to make that move?

LMAO if Manny steals this fight from Floyd.

I hope Pacquiao does steal it from Mayweather.

Make Mayweather fight Cotto or no one.

True. Let that circus begin so mayweather can retire or fight Cotto to shut up these morons for at least a month, then they are going to bring Margarito back from the dead.

And, in the event that Pac wins, he banishes Oscar forever and leaves Mayweather to fight Cotto in the best fight in boxing.

This makes him the man who saves boxing- All hail Manny Pac!

Umm no we don't. I have no interest in seeing that fight (seriously) and I doubt that many hardcore fans would want to see it. Most would rather see PBF fight Cotto....and by most I mean 95%+

No they don't. Pacquiao fans (you) want to see that. No one wants to see Pacquiao jump 3 weight classes at once to fight PBF and get creamed. We would pay to see it, but not because of it's boxing interest.

We already know the outcome to this fight.

That Gayweather and Fraud **** is kinda telling.

I heard that Oscar has stipulated that Manny Pacquiao can wear his Cleto Reyes gloves but the fight will take place in an 8' ring and Pacquiao must make 135 while Oscar will be allowed to come in at 170.

i really do not know what weight they could fight at. if i was pac, i'd choose a weight that odlh will have a hard time going down to.

it's true that pac's stock won't diminish with a loss to a bigger man in dlh but you have to look at it in another perspective. pac is not the kind to throw a fight. he'll go down swinging and he may end up being hurt. if he plans for that to be his last fight, then fine. go ahead. make a coold 20mil then retire. but if he thinks he would be going back down to 135 after gifhting osacar, then i'd say he is sorely mistaken

This will seem very far-fetched to me until/unless anything is signed. But I won't complain. It's silly enough that it appeals to my love of the absurd more than it offends my sensibilities. Outside of kind of wanting Pac to rematch JMM again and Floyd to fight Cotto, I don't really care who any of the three chooses to fight. It's not like I have questions pending about any of them or where they stand. Every matchup now is just a curiousity.

    :rofl:rofl

Yes, because Pacquaio can demand things of Mayweather. If Pacquiao wants him, he would have to go to him.

Here's a hint. Pacquiao barely beat (and to many lost to) a counter punching specialist in JMM. AT 130!!

Mayweather, every bit as skilled but bigger and much better defensively, would be another animal all together. And if JMM could stun him, what do you think 147lb PBF who just dropped the 140 champion would do to him?
