when i talk to people about mma and boxing they are either a fan of one sport or the other. mma fans will always say boxing is boring and boxing fans will say mma is gay. i have never encountered somebody who has said that they enjoyed watching both sports.
I have to admit MMA, UFC specifically is growing fast. Im seeing it on sports highlights more frequently now.

Im a boxing fan and I DO NOT enjoy watching UFC or any type of MMA fighting. i tried watching it a couple times and it was :patsch .

I enjoy both, although I only watch the big fights of MMA. The fact that you only watched it twice explains why you dont enjoy it. As with most sports, you have to "get into it". Getting familiar with the fighters, the art and apreciating who beats who and how.

couple times means more than twice.....i watched most of the main events which had a lot of build up and anticipation which was like 5 or 6 fights and it sucked. i gave it a chance.

That's interesting. Most people I know actually like both boxing and MMA. I like MMA but I PREFER boxing, the same goes for all my friends who are big boxing fans.

    Yes! I do.

I'm a fan of both but I never made any comparisson because it's entirely different. Yes it's both a combat sports but govern by different rules.

Of course I'm a boxing fan first before MMA.

No! You must chose one or the other or the world will top spinning and we will all be flung helplessly in to space. The same goes for tennis and racquet ball.
It is ok to enjoy both sports. I like the idea of MMA but I can't get into it like boxing.
I'm serious about the tennis and racquet ball.

i enjoy both, but i really dont care about MMA, my older brother likes it better than me, but thats maybe because he used to be in ju-jitsu(dont know how it is spelled) i have actually been in kung fu and Boxing, but to me there is nothing like boxing, and it is my favorite combat sport hands down.

I never needed to 'get into' boxing. I used to love watching boxing even as a small kid, it got my attention every time I would catch in on TV.

A lot of the boxing sites now feature MMA news. This probably means a lot of boxing fans watch MMA. Personally I don't watch MMA - there's too much wrestling, and wrestling is boring... at least to me.

A big thing for me is that boxing has a traceable history, MMA doesn't .
