    Tell me why Golovkin changed his style against the hardest puncher he faced in Lemieux. Why did he go from a walk forward pressure fighter to a jab heavy distance fighter? There is no doubt he has a great chin. Fighters do not have careers like his with similar styles, with no knockdowns, unless they have great chins. The problem is that there is nothing to support Golovkin having the best chin in middleweight history. If he had walked down Lemieux from the opening bell and knocked him out without getting hurt, like Hagler did to Hearns, he'd have a solid argument. If he'd had slugfests with big punchers and come out on top, he'd have a solid argument. And dont talk like I have a problem with Golovkin, hes a great fighter with a great chin, and he did the right thing in opting to box, not brawl, with Lemieux. But in order to have a case fot GOAT chin you need to do the wrong thing sometimes.

    This post you replied to;

    I was agreeing with you. You somehow interpreted it as disagreement. I played along for a few posts, for my own amusement. That's about all.

    The quality of Golovkin's chin is irrefutable. But anyone can get hurt even if it's only for a split second. Not sure we'll ever see Golovkin stopped though, it's one thing dropping a man keeping him down is much harder.

    He changed his fighting style because he’s a superior boxer. He comes to knife fights with a gun. I can’t fault a guy for being smart.

    Does he put it out there to get tagged like Hagler did? Nope. But that could be for other reasons (besides being a better boxer and totally unnecessary to bang with a banger when you can break him down safely, but for your health) and I can’t discredit 388 fights plus sparring (supposedly never downed).

    How many real middleweight punchers has Golovkin faced with the proven ability to apply their power at world level? If I'm having an impolite day, I might describe Lemieux and Stevens as crappy opposition. On a nice day, I might describe them as deeply mediocre.

    Point is, Golovkin has not been taking his hits from McClellans, Jacksons or Tommys. Or even Mugabis, Rodrigos or Benns. Or even any Pavliks or Briscoes. It's a huge stretch between a very good chin and the GOAT MW chin.

    Could you imagine M.Garcia stepping up to MW and stopping GGG? SRR did that to stop LaMotta...

    Any fighter can be hurt, its simple science.

    There may not be anyone out there currently that hits hard enough to hurt him but putting a baseball bat to his head would put his lights out. Like any human there is only a certain amount of force someone can take before they are rendered unconscious, it obviously differs for everyone but of course there is a limit to the force golovkin can take, it's just a lot higher than average.

    He can get hurt he's human.. Thing is 1- Has an amazing chin and 2 He is chin is usually tucked in and his coming forward but in a smart way so when he eats the punches he sees them coming pretty good.. Not that easy to get hurt that way unless fighting an incredible puncher.. I gotta say though.. I was surprised his legs didn't buckle against Canelo because he did take some bombs being countered and punches you dont see coming tend to fk you up real good.. So the mofo has some chin on him.. fkin concrete lol : On a side note even though he wasnt really ''Hurt'' like on the brink of KO type of deal I did see him feel some punches against Jacobs mainly really good.. You could see it on his face.

    When some top fighters from his weight division don't want to fight GGG it hurts him a lot... :)

    How can you say their chins are better? GGG has never been close to being hurt so It's difficult saying anyone has got a better chin.

    It says he is smarter than LaMotta and Hagler.
