Top 2 are obvious. The next 1-2 years will decide the top 10 more decisively.

But lets try and decide the best we can the top 3-10

    -------------------------------------------

Firstly, lets discuss their "achievements" over the last 3 years or so. (In no particular order)

Wilder - Best recent wins Ortiz x2 and Breazeale.
Usyk - Wins against Chisora and Witherspoon. (Only including HW wins)
Hunter - Best result draw vs Povetkin. No one else of note recently.
Whyte - Wins over Parker/Chisora/Rivas and Povetkins corpse.
Parker -Chisora + no one worth mentioning.
Ruiz - Wins over AJ, Arreola, and Kevin Johnson.
Ortiz - Notable wins - Cojanu, Hammer. (Almost KO'd wilder).
Joyce - Noteable wins - Beat Dubois, Takam, Jennings.

    ----------------------------------

Taking everything into account - Activity levels, experience/history, wins, losses etc. I'd have to go with -

    3) Wilder
    4) Ruiz - That AJ win has to count for something, but the nature of his defeat vs AJ also does.
    5) Whyte - If he'd have beaten pre-covid Povetkin, I'd have him 3rd. But he lost.
    6) Usyk - Regardless of the supposed talent, I need to see more results before justifying higher spot.
    7) Joyce - I'm putting him above the others because of recent activity levels + Opponent quality.
    8) Parker - Difficult to decide, but I'll put him below Joyce due to the manner of his result vs Chisora, and also because his calibre of opponent recently has been awful up until Chisora.
    9) Hunter - Not enough activity and ducked Hrgovic.
    10) Ortiz

P.S. Hrgovic would be in here if he'd have fought anyone of note, but his best win was Molina...

I like your approach and your list.

Only thing is, if we're really focusing on the 3 year window, then I think Yoka should get a spot.

A lot of those guys have primarily pasted faded also-rans, Yoka maybe did more of that than them?

Anyone who Anthony Joshua faces is "top 10", I've learned.

    Ha ha ha LOL.
I think Usyk should had retired after WBSS and use his money only for investments and business.
He already had proved that he is real talent in am and pro rules ranks.

Of course he isn't enough large like Wilder and A.J and does not have physical advantages vs them.
    Therefore congratulations: not proved boxer.

I do not care even about had Usyk HW fights or no.

A.J and Wilder are certified heroes in 35+ y.o opponents beating and cool stuff here.

The division seems to be in a lull to accurately make a top 10 list.

Fury and Joshua hold the top 2 spots for me and Joyce is there to stay in the division but as for the rest I'm not too sure.

I dont rate hunter top 10 and feel like he only gets rated bc hes American (I am too but call it as I see it).

I think whyte is like 7. Reading your summaries, I think joyce has a compelling argument for top 5 based on recent accomplishments. Even tho I think hes gonna hit a ceiling right now hes actually got a better recent resume than most.

    Gonna go with

    1. Fury
    2. AJ
    3. Wilder
    4. Ruiz
    5. Joyce
    6. Usyk
    7. Whyte
    8. Ortiz
    9. Hrgovich
    10. Parker (I guess. Just barely)
    11. Hunter

What exactly are Joyce's recent accomplishments exactly to me he so far has shown to be nothing more then a gatekeeper until he picks up some better wins.

Handily beat a gatekeeper in Takam in his last outing and a much younger hype train that was supposed to run over him previous to that. Maybe not the most eye catching style but doesn't look like anybody will knock him out and has a big punch. He's going to get his chance in 22 or 23 and might take it.

Exactly the same criticism can be levelled at Ortiz and Wilder, mind you...

who has a better resume of wins over the past 3 years that i ranked below him?

Usyks resume at hw is 2 fights. i believe when the dust settles Usyk will be known as a better hw (and yes i'm aware they fought semi-pro and Usyk won) but we will see i think 6 is fine for where he's at rn.

Whyte has Rivas, 1-1 with Povetkin, and needed the assist from COVID. Chisora was barely within 3 years and Parker wasn't.

Good lists would probably have hrgovic above joyce. Joyce is decent but dont think people realise dubois isnt that good. Made a name out of beating up absolute no hopers. It was a good win....but is overstated mainly because dubois was seen as better than what he is. Reckon dubois will come good under mcguigan...but the version joyce beat up wasnt as good as people thought.

Also still think wilder could beat joshua. Thats a 50/50 fight for me. Joshua doesnt have the movement of fury. Also cant ride the shots the same. Thats a very dangerous fight for joshua imo.

Ortiz would be higher for me if he actually fought. Most skilled fighter in the division barring fury...just has a flawed cuban style...and people keep sticking him in with guys that his style doesnt fit well with. Hes a counter puncher. Come forward styles will pay against him. Rotted for too long tho.

Hard to pick a top ten tbh still think styles make fights in that top ten.

While I agree Fury > Joshua on the eyetest, resume wise it is AJ and fairly clearly so.
