And if so .... this really needs to change. What about a independent body for referees and judges ? Im pretty sure i watched a episode of Ringside that had someone from such a governing body giving his opinions on a recent dodgy decision. I thought Bob Arum chose the judges, but im also reading today he is slating them for being far too old and dont know how to score a fight .. Although i did not hear him say the same thing when some of his fighters got really dodgy decisions recently ! There really needs to be more transparency into who supplies these judges and also transparency on how bad performances are being dealt with. Basically .... whos in charge ?

I distinctly remembering reading in De La Hoya's autobiography that he firmly believed Don King was the reason he lost against Tito , and he didn't banish that thought until he himself became a promoter and seen how the promotion is put together with regard to the judges He said that he as a promoter gets literally zero exposure to the judges who are judging on his cards , so who knows ..............
well if its not the promotors then judges should be susspended after a review of certain fights something needs doing, if i ****ed up my job id get sacked......whats different about them
The sanctioning bodies appoint the referee and judges but its down to the local commisions whether they are accepted. Not the promoters
