Media day yesterday. It’s all getting going now but the time zone and last two fights mean I won’t bother
Yeah I thought it was a laugh at first but now its very very very boring. He is clearly just on a fish and gets bites.
Duck Whyte ? Hahahaha. He's a fat bum, had beat absolutely nobody of note. Made a career off landing a left hook on a green Joshua. Always gonna say it. Hearn getting Whyte PPV is his biggest achievement, by far.
A guy who best win include the likes of Spzilka, Duhaupas, Ortiz, Stiverne who has constantly ducked offers that at the time were double what he had earned to fight AJ and has avoided Whyte like the plague. Fighting a guy who hasn't looked anywhere near the level he was pre- retiremt 5 years ago and has beaten a quality HW since then and has turned down offers to fight AJ and Whyte. Also the only reason Fury is undefeated is Terry O'connor awful judging for the first Mcdermott fight.
Wilder has turned a straight offer to fight to fight Whyte. Wilder message Whyte that he would "freeze him out". Ortiz had previously turned down Whyte before the elimnator when he was with Matchroom. Each time Whyte turned down the elimnator he fought a stronger opponent in Parker and Chisora. WBC president also stated that he would mandate the winner of Povetkin vs Whyte 2 but then straight after the fight Whyte isn't mandatory contradicting himself.
I think Liverpool card is decent as far domestic fights go majority should be onnpaper very competitive fights.
What's better in that time? Fury wins over - Wilder x 2, Wllain, Shcwarz, Pianetta and Seferi. Wilder wins - Spzilka, Arreola, Washing, Stivetne, Ortiz x 2 and Breazeale. Or Whyte wins - Bacurin, Allen, Lewison, Chisora x 2, Tann, Helenius, Browne, Parker, Rivas, Wach and Povetkin. Come on its clear since 2016 Whyte has the better resume since 2016.
The Liverpool/bt card really going under radar and both clash with England game. Boxing needs to be smarter…
Come on Mitch, you obviously know your boxing and Whyte offering a long reigning American champion a fight at the O2 Arena under Whyte's promoter and broadcaster barely even classes as an offer. Whyte also turned down Joshua for 3 belts then went and fought Rivas.
Why not? It was reported more than Wilder warned at the time. I agree that whyte should be criticised for turning down the AJ fight especially considering he called out the fight publically just prior to the offer.
I hope Whyte does get a shot, then we can finally put to bed this Whyte is elite with a fantastic record bull**** after we watch him supermanning around the ring trying and failing to catch Fury/Usyk or whoever it is. I quite enjoyed a BT sport thing i watched last night with Big John Fury on a bus going around Manchester, would have been even better if one of those branches had twatted Bunce off the topdeck though, BT Sport have done a much better job than Sky in the 2 world title fights they have both had recently.
You have went away from the CVs now for a reason - Wilder has only been defeated once by the best in the division with Joshua now on 2 losses and one to an absolute roly poly pudding. I agree with your final sentence - the card that night by Spud O'Donner is the worst I have ever seen.
I can't agree with that considering Hearn put minimal effort into marketing Whyte. Whyte is self-managed. Whyte has promoted and fought his way to being on pay-per-views.
I notice how you have omitted Breazeale and Molina in there, two apparently "top 10" boxers on Joshua's record, as well as Wilder's.
