Hatton trained 100 percent and gave as much in the ring so I see no reason to disrespect his effort. I also applaud the Brits that made the trek to Vegas to support their man. After Hatton was leaving the ring following the knockout they still sang "There's Only One Ricky Hatton". Classy.

Take it easy on him man, Hatton is what he is. The only reason he lasted that long against Floyd is becuase he was able to smother him more and he isn't as aggressive.

I know alot of people thought he would win but he had no chance. He gave it his all, can't ask more from a guy.

Ricky wasn't even on the level of an Arturo Gatti because Gatti could actually hang in there and go to war with guys. Hatton was average at best and avoided the biggest threats at 140 for years.

When I saw him fell and didn't move right away, I was kind of scared for him and worried. He's a good man, he doesn't deserve thrashing. He lost to an elite fighter. Respect and hope he's okay.

Do you really think Hatton meant to do what he did? Get completely embarrassed and KO'd on the biggest stage in boxing by a smaller fighter?

He did do something we can be proud of. He tried to defend his championship against the best possible fighter out there. We as boxing fans cannot ask for anything more.

Ricky looked horribble in there but that was because Manny was so awkward and took Hattons best weapons and made them his weakness. I was shocked that Manny had one punch KO power at 140 and I never expected that he could do that to Hatton.

    Gatti was a ****ing journeyman.

Hatton was beating by the best fighters in the world.

No, it is not necessary. I feel sorry for Hatton and I hope he gets himself together well after all of these.

It was a good decision that they did not bring his son along to Vegas, or else it would have been doubly depressing for him.

Definitely not necessary, but certainly fun. That being said I haven't partaken in it. It doesn't really shock me as Pac-man has been on top of his game lately and I've seen Ricky struggle with much less heralded opponents. He's just another case of a fighter whose reputation far exceeded his ability.
