Is it really needed to have GBP be involved in PAC vs Floyd fight?

my bad, ya I meant Haymon. And both sides will confirm that Arum never directly contacted Al Haymon

Goosen promoted that fight. Go watch the press conferences for that fight. He fought Baldomir and Goosen got a cut off of Floyd's next fight. Which was DLH.

GBP is clearly has no business in the PAC-Floyd fight. Floyd is not their boxer. Floyd not legally tied up with GBP to promote his fights.

Potential investors approached Arum and Floyd directly. They never approached GBP since they knew GBP has nothing to do with this fight.

Unless Floyd specifically says he wants GBP to represent him in this fight.

Yes it's Goosen. So Floyd can work with Goosen alone, with Top Rank alone, with GBP alone... Floyd can work with any promoter, it's not impossible.

    Goosen promoted Floyd vs Baldomir.

Top Rank promoted Floyd vs Judah.

    GBP promoted Floyd vs Hoya.

Waayyy too much common sense here. The ONLY reason I have seen that Floyd needs GBP is:
    1. They did his last 5 fights. OK, and that means.....he can only fight under GBP from now on?
    2. TR might screw Floyd outta money. OK...I thought Floyd was a savvy business man. Are we to believe he'd just sign ANYTHING?

Arum owes floyd, which is the reason he doesnt want to work with TR.

    Seriously?

The investors came to Arums house and Arum sent them (along with Koncz) to floyd's gym. Arum doesnt want gbp involved so why would he send them there?

Yes if you havent heard, Floyd started out his career with TR. He left in 2006 because monetary issues and Arum not wanting to make the DLH or Hatton fights. He fought Baldomir on a Goosen card with Goosen having an option on his next fight.

    What is your point exactly?

If he really wants to make the most money ever in his boxing career and want to enhance his boxing legacy and he wants to fight Pacquiao then he has to work with TR.

Nothing can be done about that (unless PAC bolt out from TR).

How much TR owes him, $1 million? How much potentially he can earn from a Pacquiao fight, $100 million? He has to make a choice to work or not to work with Top Rank.

My point is Floyd can work with any promoter (if he wants to). There's no legal issues blocking that from happening. It's always possible and it's only up to Floyd.

Why don't Floyd just say that he will NOT work with TR ever? To make life easier.

How does TR owe Floyd money anyway? from what I've read, it seems Symphanyceo is basing that on what Floyd thought he deserved, not what TR was contractually required to pay him.

He will work with TR. TR just wont be promoting him. GBP will.

I dont know how much he is owed but he shouldnt be owed in the first place. You are dismissing that fact as if its nothing because more money can be made which is foolish.

He does have a choice, nobody is disputing that. But Arum is dismissing possible people that floyd will be conducting bussiness with right off the bat.
