Is It Reasonable to Have JMM Ranked Ahead of Pacquiao P4P?

That is how I know you are nothing but a *******. A true boxing fan would have never said that. Had that been a 1st round KO we would have never gotten the 2nd and 3rd fight which were amazing. Specially the 2nd one.
If somebody asked me if I would like to see JMM KO Pac in the first round of the 4th fight I would say hell now. I would like for that to be another great fight that last at least 11.5 rounds.

And don't give me that **** that you really like JMM becuase it's bull**** if that is how you feel about the first fight.

I feel like he deserved to be undefeated, his dq loss over somebody he knocked out, people talking about how the ref waved off a fight at the last minute he was losing on the score cards against wheeler even though he won every second of that fight,, his title shot against Freddie Norwood with the terrible decision: JMM should have been undefeated going into the first pac fight, I feel like he had rarely lost even a round in his career, but I feel like Pac clearly clearly won the first fight (offense, landing equally and countering the counters: pac landed just as many shots as juan did, and the difference was how juan looked balanced and pac looked off balance, but he was still landing and blocking juan's shots.) The second fight Juan turned off the gas and gave away the rounds when Pac didn't come forward: when pac was hurt and stopped coming forward, Juan proved that if Pac didn't come forward NOTHING HAPPENED IN THE FIGHT. He could not capitalize on that injury, so I score for pac who landed with aggression and put Juan down. Yes, close fights.

    Third fight was Juans.

Juan is a great fighter, an all time great. But he gets too much credit in the first 2 pac fights, and the last fight he fought a perfect fight, the fight of his life and career, but he still did not take one risk or step forward to follow through on Pac, while Pac took risks every moment except for the rounds where nothing happened.

Almost beating a fighter who barely lost any rounds in their career justly, who deserved to be champion for years except for that nonsense norwood decision, in only 1 round would have solidified in my mind Pac as the greatest feather to ever live, that's why I wish it would have happened that way, because that would have made it true.

JMM my favorite fighter and I think he beat pac at least twice... however he can't match the speed and power that Pac has consistently produced in so many weight classes.

Marquez would have been crushed into oblivion by even a washed up Margarito at 150, which should pretty much say it all right there... I think he still beats Pac 9 out of 10 times though.

So then PBF should destroy Pac then by your theory since PBF picked JMM apart and JMM picked Pac apart correct. Oh wait you probably think this scenario does not apply to this fight though right?

I think we analyze fights way differently. Or maybe you just dont know.
1st fight they both went for it.
2nd fight both pressed. Many times during the fight JMM was actually the one pressing which was actually the plan and I do not know why you say JMM stopped pressing because he pressed until the final bell in that fight.
3rd fight is the one where he fought a mostly counter punching fight. I really disagree with anyone who thinks Pac won. There was rounds in that fight were Pac looked like an amateur settling for throwing punches at JMM guard just to make contact.

The closest fight to me will always be the first one. folowed by the 2nd and then the 3rd. Like I said many many times. The more they fight the wider the cards will get. Pac just does not have the capability to progress any further and it is obvious his speed and power will not give him the edge over JMM.

These triangles don't work that way, they never have.

    Mijares toys with Arce.
    Darchinyan toys with Mijares.
Arce and Darchinyan are in a brutal back and forth close fight.

Frazier gives Ali life and death fights every time.
Foreman Kos Frazier like its a joke in 2.
Ali outclasses Foreman and Kos him way easier than any Frazier fight.

Duran is first man to go distance with Hagler in a title defense, loses by like 2 points.

Duran gets Koed in 2 by Hearns.

Hearns gets koed easy by Hagler.

here's another one. Benitez beats Duran like 13-2 in a decision.
Duran destroys undefeated Moore in a brutal ass whooping.
    Moore kos Benitez in 2.
    All easy fights.

You need to have the fight to see how it plays out.

In the second, JMM HAD PAC HURT. Pac stopped pressing forward. JMM did not come forward to finish him off, but waited for Pac to start attacking again. He let Pac off the hook. That's what I'm talking about: when Pac is not stepping forward, JMM is waiting. in the first fight Pac never stopped coming forward. He would throw three, miss two, JMM would counter two, Pac would shoot back one real quickly. All the exchanges were even that way, but Pac would open them, JMM would counter (except JMM's really two big rounds, where he really snapped Pacs head back) and then Pac would counter him again. The punches landed were very even in the first fight, and with the three knock downs and the aggressive willingness to open up, I have the first fight a wide wide margin for Pac, the second one closer, and the third one ... well, I agree Juan won.

I do think PBF will destroy Pac, but that doesn't really correlate with what I'm saying.

In a P4P sense, Marquez wasn't dominating at Super Flyweight, and I don't think there's any way he could destroy guys like Clottey Cotto or Marg either.

So while I think he's better than Pac H2H... I can't say the same thing about P4P.

yeah, for whatever reason (not just careful matchmaking) Pac's style is just better at messing up big strong guys who are otherwise great fighters but are not quick of foot - and messing them up badly.

So you wanted him to press more so he could give Pac a chance to catch him. We all know what happens to guys who press Pac. They get stopped. He was not going balls to the wall but he was pressing all of that 2nd fight.
You must have missed the 8th round where Pac was hurt and laying on the ropes with JMM trying to pick him apart with combos. A lesser fighter would have thrown everything at Pac and been countered with a mean left hook but JMM looked for openings to put him away. It was not a matter of not trying.

It's arguable. They're more or less on the same level but Pac gets things done a bit more dramatically. He also carries his power when he goes up in weight, while JMM has a lower ceiling where he can be effective.

By your own logic if Andre Berto somehow fights Floyd and makes it a close fight he would automatically leapfrog seven guys in the top 10 P4P and settle to number 3 behind PAC and Floyd. :verysad

How is that my logic? JMM is a proven elite fighter (unlike Berto) and has bested Pacquiao over 3 fights. Berto giving Floyd trouble would be nothing like the Pac vs. JMM debate.

Terribble logic. Willims run was nothing special at all. And Pac has beaten a TON better fighters. This 'formula' type **** doesn't work. Not to mention, it's not even close to common knowledge that JMM beat Pac. Just the opinion of you and others, which is evened by the opinions of those who think Pac won. But as I said, terrible logic, and an even WORSE example to jusitify your point. :-(

Sorry, that's not a fact at all.
