Is it safe to say that Parker's resume is better than Joshua's resume?

Parker has Ruiz and Takam as his biggest wins which surpass any of Joshua's biggest wins which are Martin & Whyte.

If Ruiz and Takam fought either Martin & Whyter, they would win.

Whyte is overrated by most UK fans and isn't that talented but he would ice Parker from what we just saw.

    Agree here.

Joshua is better of the two, and would have beaten Parker had they met, but Parker has better resume so far.

Can someone show Parker what a shell defence looks like? Use a feign or two then he´ll be much better. Whose the trainer to show him that?

Yes Parker clearly has the better resume. Takam alone shits on anyone Joshua has fought. Not really sure Ruiz adds that much to Parker's resume to be honest, he's a gate keeper in my eyes, dangerous for 3 rounds and not a guy you want to trade with but easy to outbox and out work. I'd favour Whyte to beat Ruiz Jr and I don't even rate Whyte.

Joshua needs to step up desperately. Whether it be against Wlad or someone else after Molina, he can't keep fighting this level of opposition as he's a level or 2 above the Martin's, Breazeale's and Molina's of this world.

Yeah I wish he would have feinted more against Ruiz Jr. It was clear Andy was waiting for Parker to open up and then counter, a few simple feints now and again would have made him far harder to read and counter and even given him more opportunities to counter Ruiz Jr.

Parker still has a lot to learn but he is still only 24.

I rewatched Chavez Jr - Lee the other day, and the way Chavez Jr was coming in with a shell defence is exactly what Parker needs to do against AJ and Wilder.

There's no point running away on the outside, AJ and Wilder are bigger and powerful and Parker wouldn't get to test their chins.

Right. Boxing is subjective with scoring. So if youre always doing that running away with the head in the air, it ´looks´ bad. Like stepping into a charging ruiz with a shell up isnt the worse thing and as BB said, a varied attack, as well as a varied defence would put Ruiz in 2 minds. Sometimes I feel he lacks the insight and noxing brain, and hes getting by because Barry is implementing ok strategies for him, which hes scraping by using. Where was the uppercut all night? Even if 9 of 10 hit gloves, its still gonna stifle Andys attack slightly and keep him honest. And then you anticipate Ruiz countering the uppercut, so you feign an uppercut, which you can then counter the opening yourself. Setting up traps like that. This was like toddler tactics. Strange fight.

Would AJ have spent 12 rounds back peddling against Ruiz and Tackam?? Those fights wouldn't have went 4 rounds , never mind twenty four :periodico:

I rarely see anyone rate Whyte highly ,beyond myself and maybe the only person who had him in a top ten spot at 10 for a good couple months now . And i do so not on talent but on a big 6'4 250 pounder who has good attributes of speed ,power chin and unpredictable style who is not easy to hit . You cant overate Whyte if you think he beats Parker ( something i dont even see YET ) Parker is no walk through either , i believe simple adjustments is all he needs ,wheather Barry can do that is another matter.

Joshua has the better resume and performances over Parker .

    P.S im not U.K either

"This was like toddler tactics. " Parker probably envisioned Ruiz in a large diaper woddling after him with the baby fat jiggling around and treated the fight like a game of tag . Maybe Parker took note on the comments that Ruiz looked young enough to be like his son?

Better performances for sure, but not better resume until Whyte or Breazeale does something or AJ beats Klitschko.

I can understand that you rate Whyte, however resume-wise he's clearly not top 10. Beating Chisora, which I think he will would be a start.

Hahahaha. Based on what? Losing to ATG p4p#1 UK hero Anthony Joshua?

    Sit down.

Your own sideshow Haye beats Parker in better fashion than AJ let alone the limited Whyte.
