Is it safe to say that Parker's resume is better than Joshua's resume?

Ah ok, so possibly because Ruiz/Browne were both better ranked, less likely to want huge coin and potentially easier fights (hard to tell as Haye is also hunting the best reward for least risk) in different organisations - that'd not be too surprising. I'll try and find the thread when I have more time.

Fair enough, its just unlucky you havent got the proof to support your claims cos then you can say what you want.

There is proof of Haye constantly calling out Parker. THAT is well documented. Parker running from Haye? lol I honestly dont see that or even see Team Parker saying so. Just fantastical IMO.

    Here you go - http://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/team-parker-dismiss-haye.576118/

I've spoke of how I rate Parker for a fair while now. He just seems to have plateaued. Perhaps Joshua would have too if he fought Takam and Ruiz instead of Martin, Brezeale and Molina.
So I'm not ragging on him out of bias. I also think Joshua is perhaps wrongly very wary of Haye.

As doublejab says we don't know what Haye has to offer at this point. What does seem clear though is that nobody is overly keen to find out. Joshua has the big Wlad fight now so can't get stick for not being interested at the minute whereas Team Parker seem to want to talk about anyone else.

Haye opted out of the WBO equation anyway. WBO ordered Parker/Ruiz winner to defend against Haye within 120 days, Haye went on to schedule a different fight for the same time zone. WBO will either allow Parker to take a voluntary defence or fill in the mandatory position with Hughie Fury or Jarrell Miller.

It's safe to say that Povetkin, Wilder, Pulev, Parker, Ortiz, and Haye all have better resumes than Joshua. But if he gets a win over Klitschko in March, he'll have the best record.

They're saying it'd be an easy fight, trying to lessen interest and hoping it doesn't happen in a manner in which they can blame Haye. That's my take on Lonegran claiming that the fight only goes a couple of rounds and that's why Haye won't want it.

He's prepping us for the fight to fall through and now with the farcical Bellew cashgrab on the horizon they have a reason.

I also don't think many will be as apprehensive about facing Parker as they were pre Ruiz. The top guys will now be gunning for his belt.

You make some good points here IMO.

Parker plateau? is it time for him to bring in another trainer? is he a slave to one master to which the begs the question about how good is the master (Barry).

The latest talk of an opponent is Hughie Fury. I honestly thought the talk would be of a Parker/Joshua clash but now Joshua probably has the opponent that can really help out his career if he wins. Parkers first title defence of Hughie Fury is probably a good choice for now but I did hear talk of Haye next after Ruiz, dont whats happened.

Perhaps a change in trainer is in order to see if there just how far he can go. Who would you like to see him hook up with?

Pre-Ruiz I thought he looked like he had another few gears he could go through if needed and was already a level above fat Andy. Neither looked the case this weeekend.

Haye's ruled himself out for the time being pursuing the Bellew battering for a PPV date so Hughie might well be the next option and with his lack of power but relative slickness should be a reasonably interesting test for Parker's offender which underwhelmed so much against Ruiz.

I think Hughie will choose Parker.

It will be interesting. I suspect a lot of people will underestimate Parker based off the Ruiz performance. I was worried about that one for Parker in a "styles-make-fights" regard. Hughie Fury I'm actually not 100% sure what I think of in regards to how their styles will suit, I expected (/ there was no secret that you should expect) a Parker staying back and throwing shots from a distance. Against someone like Fury Parker would potentially be in kill mode.

Haven't seen enough of Fury to know how he'd cope with that. The different styles could end up playing really well into either guys hands - just not sure which.

Povetkin and Haye should be licking their chops.

Hughie and his ilk may be lured in - but will regret it
