If Cotto would've won and beat Clottey, DLH ( Especially ) or Williams we would have definately seen this but not any more probably?

It will never happen, unless Cotto comes back blasting some big-name opponent and a potential Floyd-Cotto can make Floyd earn at least 10 mln $.
I guess Floyd has been laughing all night.

p.s: A Margarito-Floyd will also never happen, a victory over Cotto doesn't make Margarito bigger than the Puerto Rican, he's still utterly unmarketable, maybe slightly more famous to the general public than before, but not that much. Floyd only fights crossover fighters like Oscar and Ricky who generates a whole lot of millions.

At the moment, there's no reason ( $$$$) for Floyd to come out of retirement.

The funny thing is it may actually happen now that Floyd has seen Cotto TKOed. Cotto's chin was subpar at 140 and only just average at 147 so if PBF hits him with enough flush shots over the course of the fight it's probable he could knock him out as well and look good doing it(taking very little damage).

But maybe now seeing Cotto's weakness, maybe he thinks it will be easier than he thought and do it? After Cotto beats a name opponent ofcourse? A victory over Cotto would definately add to PBF's legacy.
