Yes, but since you are taller work it slowly with jab and straights at first, short guys are usually in fighters and in fighters know how to land their body shots, so you don't want to stay in close for too long People underestimate how effective patient jabs to the body can be
It all depends on your style. Typically this doesn't happen a lot but then again there many taller guys who were excellent inside fighters. See Diego Corrales, Errol Spence, Alexis Arguello. If you are good at it and you don't get hit whilst being able to control or win the action punching to the body then go ahead. You will be open to counters and be giving up your height at times. But if you can punch hard and back them up its a good tool in your arsenal.
Yes but this is a scenario where it’s actually questionable. These short guys look for every opportunity to counter and a taller guy consistently working the body makes it a lot easier for them to do it. Obviously it’s great to work the body, but the taller fighter has to be very smart about it.
If you only go for the head, you will soon find that they'll put on suffocating pressure with just proactive head movement. Don't just trade in the pocket, but launch straight hands and reaching jabs from outside of their reach (Pep had a jab with his arm and shoulder lining up, essentially preventing follow up shots from both fighters) and looping hands to the body once they come close and smother themselves on your control game.
