I've considered Wlad borderline top 10 recently, but his brother is just a better version of him. The bottom half of the top 10 is very debateable. Although Vitali hasn't beaten worldbeaters, he's dominated them. It's a close call. Guys like Vic deserve to be there over him, but I'm finding it harder to truthfully to say this guy isn't top 10 P4P right now.

I still think that wlad should be ranked higher than Vitaly. Vitaly is more exciting fighter. But wlad is much better boxer. Vic should be ranked ahead of Vitaly 100% true. Vitaly hasn't a match up fight since Sanders(match up my ass someone would say).

P4P no.1 for the most boring fighter in the world. No I'm not against any of the Klitschko's, but you can't ever be considered a p4p top 10 if you haven't fought and beaten greats, no way. He might be unlucky that he's fighting in a disgrace of a division thats just unlucky, personally I can't see him beating past great heavyweight, nor past second rate heavyweights.

So why pavlik is ranked anywhere near top 10? Or Chad Dowson?

When I saw the Ring annual rankings I was really disappointed with the ranking of the Klitschkos, I consider Wladimir a top 20 p4p . Has a good resume even if there's no "great" fighters he beat a lot of undefeated prospects, most by knockout and didn't lose a lot of rounds. He was dominant over his challengers, even if his fight style might be boring for a lot of people. In terms of skill he is a good textbook fighter and can win a fight just with his jab. Remember that Larry Holmes didn't beat great fighters too, even if he didn't lose to guys like Ross Purrity and Corrie Sanders.

Larry Holmes set the record for HW title defences and was one fight from equalling Marciano's record for being undefeated.

To use Larry's line more appropriatley than he did "Wlad and Vitali couldn't carry my jockstrap"....

Chad Dawson is an elite fighter and deserves to be top 10 p4p. Much, much, much better boxer than Wlad/Vitali.

Uh huh.... Vitali wouldn't know what to do with Holmes.

Wlad would fare better, he's more mobile and more fluid, but Holmes thirst for battle and skill gets him through on a tough points decision.

Larry's fights with Norton and Shavers demonstrate more mettle than either Klistchko put together.

I am open to the idea of Wlad and/or Vitali being P4P type of guys, but given their resume's and the fact Vitali has lost to the the two best he's fought while Wlad has been KTFO'd by three fighters that would barely have gotten a sparring partner job in the 70's when Holmes was learning his craft in Ali's camp is laughable.

I mean, if Wlad fought Larry the way he fought Ibragimov he would get his ears boxed off.

Wlad should of been in rings top 20 at least, but then if you ever read ring about wlad, they do nothing but dump on him. An once sanders an brewster beat him, those two were compared to past great boxers,,,look at hayes, he just beat barrett an there all ready comparing him to Ali, if he were to beat wlad, he would be ranked in the top 15, no doubt in my mind, an if he loses wlad, wlad would still be in the top 40

    Neither should be ranked P4P.

Three reasons, firstly, neither have ever in their lives beaten a fighter close to a P4P ranking. Their resumes's are not even close to most in the top 15.

Secondly, they have BIG size and weight advantages over nearly all their opponents, and their utilisation of their size is a huge part of their success. I dont mean that as derogatory dig at them, its just a fact. Their physical advantages therefore completely defy the point of 'P4P'.

Thirdly, tell me a 175 pound scaled down Vitali or even Wlad is as skilled, slick as a Chad Dawson for example. Yes they are bigger fighters, but that means they are also slower, more robotic, far less slick.....their prowess as fighters can only therefore be compared to fighters in their no weight limit division. Now an Izzy Vazquez is a beast wherever you size scale him up or down too, you cant say the same for many HW's.

There are obvious exceptions, particulalry HW's who move up in weights with success like Holyfield and small HW's like Tyson.

Super HW's like the Klitshckos dont qualify.

Joe Louis has the record for Heavyweight title defenses not Larry Holmes. You don't even know your Boxing history yet you want us to take what you say seriously?
