you say this yet you have people like Mosley, Hatton, and Cotto listed that have had several close controversial fights. Thay have all dropped a bunch of rounds in their career. I don't buy this crap that just because a guy is a Heavyweifght he can't be P4P that logic is stupid.

Yeah, but if you frequently fight a better quality of opponent then you're obviously going to have many more difficult and closely contested fights, than the guy who easily defeats limited opposition. They have dropped a bunch of rounds because they have fought guys who were capable of stealing rounds or actually winning the fight.

But I agree, in general, being a HW should not automatically bar you from being a P4P Elite, and while I don't think Vitali is on that level, a case could and can be made for it.

Yes, these dimwits cant seem to understand that.

HW's, (unless small, or ones who have campaigned in lighter weight classes) should be excluded from the list.

P4P means regardless of weight and size etc. HW's like the Klitschkos have great size and weight advantages that fighters in other divisions don't have.

Much of their effectiveness as fighters is based on size based advantages, which therefore completley defies the point of P4P. It is not rocket science.

Not to mention their resumes suck.

Why, what have they done to get a spot on the P4P rankings?

No, neither one of them did enough to be ranked the top 10 P4P. Both Klits do dominate their oppenents, but you also got to look who their fighting. It's like matching up Lebron James against some Highschool basketball player, of course he's going to have his way with him and look amazing doing it. I'm sorry Vitali looked like a slow, unskilled fighter last saturday, his size was the only thing that won him that fight IMO. Gomez couldn't find his range and found himself throwing wild punches/slaps in hopes of connecting.

Wlad on the other hand is a highly skilled fighter, P4P talent IMO. Though his oppenents are nothing special, and he seems to be taking on worse and worse competition lately. I think the last time he fought anyone worth a **** was against Samuel Peter back in 05, and we all remember how much trouble he had beating him that night.

The thread title should read "in the top 20 P4P".

Pavlik beat a former p4p top 10, taylor, twice, so he can at least have something to say in that regards. Dawson shouldn't be given top 10 p4p at all but he did beat Tarver also a class boxer very easily. Klitschko however has had one chance to prove how good he was (vitali) and lost to Lewis. Other than that he has done **** all, beaten **** opponents in very poor fights, its not like he looks good in the fights, juse his opponents are that bad.

You must be new boxing

Neither of them beats holmes ans neither would be able to keep up the pace with a prime holmes for fifteen rounds :deal

Sorry bud you have just contradicted yourself there

Heavyweights can be added, if they had p4p back in 1967 have you got any doubt Ali would be in it ?

Tyson was in the p4p rankings wasn't he 1, i may be wrong but im sure he was

If you have out standing skils, good power and a good chin and all around ability it shouldn't matter how big you are. Lets be fare im no klit fan and many people n this forum know this, but if wlad beats the smaller haye ill put him at 10.

There are simple reasons why wlad isn't top 10 at the moment.

1-He is boring to watch, he fights scared its not like he goes to war like jmm or pac, hatton, cotto etc. If he did there would be no arguement

2-Fighting the likes of rahman and thompson I know the tompson fight was a mando but he looked **** against him and thompson was scared and he could of got him out of there a lot quicker if he had the balls. Same with rahman, surely there was someone else he could of fought :think

3-Who is there for him to beat you go up by beating quality opposition and there really hasn't been that kind of opposition on his resume

Lets be honest if he beats haye then povetkin then he has to be top 10 p4p, as that is two descent challenges.

Anyway hopefully haye ko's waldo anyway and he goes into the top 10 :D

I think you could argue 7,8,9 or 10 for Wlad. The trouble is heavies aren't often in pound for pounds, and Wlad is not just a heavy, he's a very big heavy.

Holmes schools both of them :deal

I mean vitali (the better one) couldn't even beat an old fat under motivated lennox lewis, imagine what a prime larry holmes would of done.
