I just used that as an example because it was the first british stoppage that came to mind

And it just so happens that all the incompetence is in favour of the home fighter?

Simple as: if the BBBC want to grandstand before the media with Chisora, then they need to put their foot down and take action against what went on with the timekeeping!

The BBBC were all out and making a fuss over the dodgy timekeeping in the Danny Williams fight a few years back against Archis (or whatever his name was). So lets see what they do now the same thing has happened on their own doorstep.

I hope something gets done but how much opportunity is there to "grandstand before the media" in this case? Its a Brit title fight on BoxNation, its not going to make front page of the rags like Chisoras antics did.

ie. no one outside the boxing crowd will hear about it or give a **** even if they did.

Arn't you supposed to use examples that, you know, support your case??;)

True, no opportunity to grandstand but its a slippery slope to dodgy italian/german type boxing we are heading towards (if they fail to take action). It is in the interests of boxing that action is taken.

Totally agree Kurt. They need to investigate a take action, just don't expect the result to be on the evening news like Chisora was..;-)

It was incompetence but hardly casual assault, was it?

It's annoying, I agree, but you can't equate being bad at your job with Chisora's antics.

That's not always the case. That's your impression, based on what you already stated you believe.

There are bad decisions in EVERY sport, not just boxing. You don't hear Andy Murray calling corruption on a failed line call, or a top football player accusing the referee of gambling because he awarded a penalty.

The difference is though, in those sports, officials who consistently make bad calls are reprimanded, retrained and/or removed from the position. Boxing doesn't do this consistently and that's why the same **** keeps happening.
