    Why the **** not?

Boxing is a shambles at times and this is a prime example.

Moseley, Evan Fields, RJJ etc etc some of the biggest names

Why don't we have it? I believe it would help lend a bit more credibility to a sport getting damaged ATM.

Andre Ward wanted random testing for the Froch fight and USADA told him it would cost him between $50,000 - $100,000 for 8 weeks of testing. How many fighters will be willing to pay that?

Should have happened 20 years ago.......even after same day weigh ins were thrown aside as basic as the testing would have been.

Yes, who cares if a few good fights get scrapped, the long term future of the sport will benefit from this

    Agreed.

Is this the reason fighters are out so infrequently nowadays? :think The need to cycle might be a factor?

I don't think so, I believe that the famed modern conditioning is to blame for that. Draining down to an unsustainable weight and ballooning up afterwards takes its toll. If fighters fought at their true weight then we'd see them out 4 -5 times a year.

That's shocking. You have to wonder how many other pro's are in the same position? :-(
