I was actually rooting for Paulie just cuz he's earned my respect over the years, but let me tell you, he got his ass whooped something vicious! Paulie has no power to make other fighters respect him, period. That means that no matter what his game plan is, others fighters will mess it up for him. Even more so now at 147. Every time he gets in the ring is a good chance for KO of the year. Props to Paulie, but hang em up.

Hang them up Paulie. You had a solid career, and more to look forward to after boxing.

Don't be another guy who hangs on too long.

Paulie is the classic over-achiever and got further than a lot of people (including me) thought he would. He needs to quit now and pursue his career in commentating before additional damage puts that career in jeopardy.

If Shawn " sparring partner" Porter is a bad style matchup then Paulie should retire, his style is leaping left hooks and brawling, if Paulie can't handle that retire...

Pauli probably should quit but he won't. He can still make some bread being a step up journeyman.

Do you have any idea how disrespectful this is? You do realize all these young fighters who are up and coming act as sparring partners for established champions right? Do you reference Larry "sparring partner" Holmes when you mention him? Probably not.

Why don't we just say Floyd "sparring partner" Mayweather since he sparred with Whittaker when he was young?

Have some respect for the fighters. Thanks.

Paulie is better than ever, he just ran into the wrong guy. Can't really see him winning a title again. I'd say retire, because of the gig he has lined up, or at least take the rest of the year off.
Ridiculous how posters say his career is average. Guy is a world champion ffs.

Either way he needs to stop getting all these unwarranted title shots

He can make more money, just commentating and he doesnt have to take any punches.

Unless he can still compete on the world level, theres not much point in him continuing to fight.

Hes had a very successful career. He can look back on it with pride.

Pauli and Judah are pretty much through. They will probably rematch each other in Brooklyn again.

He said commentating doesn't pay well like boxing, and he's right. But he dam sure earned his money last weekend with that ass whupping.
Pauli's flash and cash. He's not Ford Taurus Teddy Atlas.

    So?

Boxers lose. He loses to top fighters, one of his "losses" was a complete robbery too.
