haye landed one far overrated punch in twelve rounds. you idiots make like valuev was out on his feet, yet downplay furys eyes rolling around in his head like marbles against Cunningham. that and him being staggered at least twice more by a featherfisted cruiser,

    :deal Exactly.

These guys who want to see two heavyweights in the ring that throw caution to the wind, go watch a toughman contest.

Real fans of boxing understand and appreciate Wlad's style. It's pure domination.

    For the curious..

Wlad/Chag was not a PPV in the states. Probably not a PPV anywhere, that poster was just making that up.

Wlad has never had a PPV in the states to my knowledge. Lewis even had trouble selling PPV here during his reign: Tua, Tyson, and Holyfield II are the only ones, rest were on live on HBO. Even the Rahman and Vitali fights were shown for free on HBO. I don't blame Lewis or Wlad, this is just boxing's popularity in general declining in the states bar a few presonalities like Mayweather, Pacman..etc.

Wlad had many fights broadcast live on HBO: Mercer, McCline, Sanders, Brewster I, Peter, Byrd, Brock, Austin, Brewster II, Sultan, Thompson, Rahman, and Haye. Most others were available through free streaming or ESPN.

For the record, Wlad/Wach from last year was pretty fun. Wach rocked Wlad and took a hell of a beating.

    Why should he retire.

He's at the top of his game and on a major roll not seen since Louis or Holmes.

Let somebody retire him if they can !

Tony Tucker, Bruno, Michael Grant, both Holyfield fights, Rahman rematch and Golota were also on PPV.

He has still 3 fights he can fight with high reliabilty, wich means still 1 years or very little more.

I don't know this for a fact but you would think he would want to win the WBC belt before he retires.

I could have sworn the Grant fight was live on HBO..maybe I'm thinking of the replay. You might be right on that.

    Briggs
    McCall
    Akiwande
    Botha
    Rahman I
    Vitali

Were all on free tv I believe. Once you get the late 90s, start to see less and less Heavyweight PPVs unless Tyson, King, or Holyfield's name was attached.

And Wlad is an intelligent man and he wants to use his brain after his boxing career.

Vlad has not reason to retire. I don't hear anyone asking Void to retire and he is approx. the same age. Vlad is winning fights mostly by knockouts, Void usually just play defense and rarely gets a knockout...............

I honestly don't see why he would retire...as long as there are still meaningful fights to be made. That said, I'm not really sure if there'll be much left for him after Povetkin, Pulev, Haye II/Fury and whoever wins the WBC "tourney"(Stiverne, Arreola, Wilder, Abdusalamov) after Vitali retires.
